5 stars just for the Paradise cake! My in laws used to bring us a paradise cake whenever they visited for one of the kids birthdays since they lived in Torrance and we lived all the way in Temecula. Now they moved to the Philippines and we moved to Alabama so obviously on my birthday when we came to visit CA I had to get my paradise cake and I wasn't disappointed. So stinking good.The food was ok. I love katsu so I enjoyed my meal. Although I did tell them I wanted the BBQ chicken and they came out with the katsu. I liked my ramen salad a lot! Makes me want to make it at home now.

This was a really cool place I had the pleasure of visiting. What a pleasantly unique place to grab quality delicious food with an amazing tempting display of bakery cakes, pastries , donuts and the like, yet they have healthy delicious meals, and not so healthy choices like I chose. I had a bacon Angus cheese burger and fries. Very quality in flavor and texture. Bought a hawaiian pastry rolls package and was given some of their sweet dinner rolls. What a delicious treat. I think there's something for everyone here. Great atmosphere and really cool round tropical fish aquarium inside and nice large windows and open spacing. I highly recommend these folks!Features: Covid shmovid- politics- blah blah forget about it! Just come and enjoy a wonderful meal.
This place is amazingly good, on this particular trip we picked up desserts. All their baked goods are amazing. They have plenty of fresh items to choose from as well as bagged items. Parking is pretty small in this location, and the dine area is very small as well. So I seriously recommend either get there early or plan on taking out. Either way this place is great.
Came here after a video I saw about the place on Instagram. Happy to say it was worth it! My husband and I came on a weekday for breakfast, we got the Breakfast combo and sandwich.The food was good, I got the Portuguese sausage in my sandwich and it was very flavorful. My husband's French toast was delicious too perfectly made.Service was friendly and kind.Bathrooms were clean and well maintained as well.Overall we enjoyed and looking forward to coming again soon!
King's Hawaiian is SIMPLY DELICIOUS. Their breakfast are great. Their donuts...mmmmm, donuts. Birthday cakes never disappoints...however, I've got one minor problem; GET RID OF THE MASKS. lol. Seriously, get rid of the masks mandate in your Restaurant. Other than that, it's a great place to eat.
If you are new to SoCal, and find yourself on your way North on the 405 from orange county. You'll hit the Western Exit in Gardena. If your stomach tells you, you're hungry and you're stuck in traffic, with another hour and twenty to get to Santa Monica... Stop here. And fill up on some kalbi short ribs or a hearty chicken katsu or mix or whatever you decide to get full on... And if they will ask you if you would like anything else... You tell them you want a slice of this piece of deliciousness.
I am on a low sodium diet so I eat Hawaiian slice bread and this is where I buy it. It's a restaurant and bakery that serves traditional Hawaiian foods and tasty desserts. I love their cakes they have a guava, passion fruit and lime chiffon cake that is fabulous.
You can never go wrong with the paradise cake! It's a family favorite for every special occasion. My only complaint is that the price has gone up quite a bit over the last few years.
