Indeed a huge hidden gem that I’m so glad I found it!! Been Japan a couple times and the taste of their Japanese breakfast set bring back all the good memory during my trips. Will definitely come back despite the long drive from east valley area.
Wow, what a treat, fist Japanese breakfast in the States and it did not disappoint. Exquisite service, quality fixings, and a handle on tradition.

I've always loved the Japanese breakfast here for years and I can't wait until breakfast hours again. I used to drive down for the city to meet my family here.This review is really for the fantastic outdoor seating that they brought back! Heated, blocked from the wind, great service and not busy on a Friday night.First time ordering something on the menu besides breakfast. The katsu was well fried and piping hot. My partner said something akin to "wow, Kagura levels of great katsu". I got the steak combo and enjoyed how much food it was. Udon was great, California rolls were wonderful with soft rice. Enjoyed everything with a hot tea and a cold beer in a frosty mug. Would've been an even better deal at happy hour (5-6:30)

Favorite splurge for breakfast is to come get the Japanese breakfast set C, with Mackerel or Salmon. I personally love dashimaki while my partner usually gets the sunny side up egg with his.
I enjoy Fukagawa Japanese Breakfast Combo D. The Fukagawa is the restaurant that will make how Japanese people eat Breakfasts in Japan!! So I recommend if people want to try a Japanese Breakfasts.
Did a yelp search for Japanese food restaurants and Fukagawa had some outstanding reviews. Sure enough, the service was great and the food was delicious! So much so, that we returned within a week! Highly recommend.

Authentic Japanese food. They do run out of things, so don't be upset. It is so good. My favorite is the Thursday lunch special of filet katsu and half soba set.
