Stopped here with my son and his girlfriend. She is from Tijuana and knows authentic Mexican food. I had the Barilla tacos. Excellent service, price and food. Grab a horchata to drink while enjoying your food.
Very slow to make tacos. And SUPER EXPENSIVE! Never again. Honestly if your looking for a good taco truck, keep looking! This is not the one ??????
Tacos were just okay, except for the nopales (cactus) taco which we ordered roasted but came like a cold salad. Disappointing! Also ordered al pastor, which I liked though there was a relatively small amount of meat filling and a carne asada taco, which was really more like a bistec taco (i.e., no sign that the meat had been charcoal grilled). The meat was good quality, though also not very generously filled. Unfortunately, the preparation was slooow. It was moderately busy, not slammed, and there were three or four guys working the line but it was like they were in slow motion. Laughable compared to a real taco stand in Mexico. It took about 30 minutes for our order to come up. Cute interior with exposed brick and fun retro art touches. All in all, it's fine for a taco if you're in the area anyway, not in a hurry, and don't mind paying top dollar for tacos that may be on the skinny side.
I drive 30 mins to eat here and they are consistently awesome!! I will continue to make the drive for their tacos!
Fresh made to order tortillas made in front of you as well as guacamole. I got tripas, asada and birria. The tripas were pretty crispy first time around the second time, not so much but still good. The tortillas 5/5 everytime. I always get asada just to try and compare. My favorite would have to be the birria. The hot sauce is spicier than most. I see a lot of people just put a line or a little. You like spice, get it. But it's spicy that if you drench it like most places you won't be able to taste the quality of the rest. Very nice people. I would go again. I am a fan. Easily on my top 3 taco places now.
Tacos are tiny taco-truck size. Hand made corn tortillas my taco was bland definitely needed seasoning again very small taco for bring tj style known for its normal size handmade tacos. They are OK but nowhere TJ style and very small in size TJ style tacos in the area are normal size handmade tortillas also skimpy on the guacamole. I guess they’re ok to feed the craving however LA has great TJ style tacos I’d rather go elsewhere.
I LOVE their tacos de alpastor! Their tortillas are yellow corn & handmade. Love that the tacos come with avocado & their salsa is FIRE!! HIGHLY recommend!
delicious tacos and the sauce is very good. would definitely recommend
