Service and food were good. Great price for AYCE too. However I have to knock off a star because the wait for a table was so long. My party of 4 was waiting outside to be seated for 90 minutes. When they finally let us in, no other parties had left the restaurant in the preceding 15 minutes. Yet, the entire section of the restaurant they took us to was empty! It left us questioning what the wait was for.
Good service, great meat selection, liked the beef belly. Need to learn how ro ask for more sides.... Will definitely be going back
I recommend adding your name to the wait list prior to arriving. We got their and had to wait for an hr and a half. Went to the bar and the bartender was absolutely amazing. His name is Paul. Cool guy, kept the conversation going. Hooked us up!! once we ate, the food was beyond delicious. Fast service, the waiters were super cool, easy to talk too!! I totally recommend this place.
Great selection of fresh, delicious meat. Soups are tasty. Service is outstanding. Worth the wait.

When it comes to KBBQ my family only goes here because my mother likes the coffee ice cream! We don't eat KBBQ too often but when we do it's here. There is always a wait during dinner rush. As of March 2022 only the front dining room is open.Service is usually good, everyone is always nice and helpful. If they're backed up then it can be a tad slow, but it's not the servers fault. You always see them trying their best with each table. The food is good. I'm not an expert on meat cuts and all so I wouldn't be able to go into detail but I enjoyed everything I ate and I ate everything.We've been coming here for years. Be it friends or family. When we mention KBBQ somehow Star always comes up. We always leave full and happy. It's a tradition that won't be broken any time soon.
Surprisingly cheap ($24 + tax and tip), discounts 10% for paying cash.Service was VERY good, shocking how much meat they offered us at a time (and would follow up about it), never had a moment where meat wasn't on the grill.Corn cheese is a small tin, Steamed eggs also relatively less quantity. Meat was great!
They have beef tongue! Most Korean BBQ don’t have beef tongue now, I wonder why? Definitely better than Gen Korean BBQ. $8 for beer, but you get the second one for 1 penny, definitely keeps me coming because of that too! The spicy tofu soup is good too.
I go here when I’m in OC for kkbq. It doesn’t get too hot or stuffy which is good. Their meets are sliced perfectly and the service is very attentive.
My daughter wanted to get a kbbq for dinner and we've decided to come to Star BBQ. We're afraid that we'll have to wait for a long line because it's NYE. To our surprise we're seated after 20 minutes. Our meat order came pretty quick and we're ready to grill. We saved 10% for paying the bill in cash and we enjoyed the caramel ice cream afterwards.
