Disclosure: We are foodies and have eaten far and near. Dives to Michelin stars restaurants. We were here for a week on vacation and tried every known banh mi places. This was the best out of all of them at both locations. As for the service reviews of people being rude, we didn’t experience this. People just need to be understanding that the servers are immigrants or people that lack mastery of the English language. So have patience or know which items you want to order via the number on the menu. Imagine if you were in another country trying to order in a different language.Their banh mi, the xoi (sticky rice), and banh cam are really good. Highly recommend for a quick meal or a package meal for the kids going on a cross country flight. We will be making this our banh mi place for OC vacations.

I feel so disappointed of people that works at these restaurants as they are very rude towards people who don't speak any vietnamese. Very RUDE ATTITUDE AND CUSTOMER SERVICE. I went to try thir bowl of Beef stew , Mince shrimp plate and taro baos ( buns) everything was a 7 out of 10, except the beef stew, the meat was cold and the soup extremely hot, maybe they overheat the soup and put the frozen meat in there to cool down the soup, but that's not good. Not what I expected. The place is clean which is good, now...... the negative of negatives...I am so upset as I was been helped by a vietnamese lady and then she got away to do something else then she asked a guy (how to say overweight) to help me with my order.they gave me the order in closed bags and the receipt, when i left I was concerned that I paid too much for the food, so when I parked I checked my receipt I found out that was overcharged by the guy, so I called and he was very rude and hang-up the phone on me, I called again and requested for manager and I heard the guy talking to the lady and she also hung up on me. VERY UNPROFESSIONAL AND UNPLEASANT EXPERIENCE. their food is not worthy of all of these.

I really like their chow main with beef. It was on point not soggy. Fresh and delicious. I got their Thai tea but I didn't like it. The food was good though.

First time customer to a Banh MI. We loved it. Bought 2 sandwiches and fried rice. Love the taste, will be back. Place is very clean. Restrooms missing towels.

The pork belly banh mi here is insane! They use braised pork belly and a sriracha mayo. I also recommend the sesame balls. I didn't stop a picture of my food because I did a grab and go. Definitely recommend this place for something on the fly.

This place looks very clean but their sandwich is just ok, and nothing to write home about. The bread itself has that fake butter smell like Banh Mi Cali. I don't like it but I think some people do. The bread texture is a bit on the hard side, like Lee Sandwich. Probably not good for your gums if you eat it often. The meat in the sandwich is definitely plentiful which explains why the sandwich is $6. This place does have pretty good spring rolls if you don't feel like eating sandwiches. Their rice rolls are also pretty good.I only live a block from this place but I usually drive over to their other location on Westminster & Newland where the bread doesn't have the fake butter smell and isn't as hard. Just be aware that their Westminster location has parking issues due to the amount of customers.

I’ve been here on multiple occasions have not had one bad experience. It’s funny you’d think a Bahn Mi spot with a drive through would be a stay away but I’ve had some pretty good food come out of here.Popular plates are the 1 and 4, have tried others but keep coming back you the classics. I have eaten inside once but find the convenience of the drive through to be my go to.On this Sunday I splurged and got both the 1 and 4 to share and wasn’t disappointed, crispy breast and flavors for days I will keep this place apart of my regular roster of fatman locations.

The beef stew rice noodle tasted really really bad. Drinks are alright. Bread smelled good.

Food tastes good, but that's no excuse for other shortcomings. It's hard to have great standards of service and cleanliness when much of the clientele is low-quality and inconsiderate. Pickle deserves some credit for at least trying. But I would say that you can do better. I would like to see tables cleaned between customers. And maybe if you are feeling generous, trust us with a god damned napkin dispenser.Food hygiene is another issue. Kitchen staff prepares sandwiches with their bare hands. Even by Vietnamese banh mi shop standards, this is unacceptable.

When everything in OC fails you, go to Pickle! It is simple and full of great flavors. Can someone tell me if this was any good?.. ?
