The food was amazing!Had a lot of parking, plus the pho was the best pho I ever had! A perfect score and highly recommend it.
No question best pho I’ve personally had broth is soooo clean and decadent! Service and food 5/5 will always be back :))))
Best pho that I’ve ever had in my life! But it’s currently closed for lunar new year, from 2/2-2/9(wed)! Don’t drive here hungry other wise you will be disappointed like us!
Award winning broth and I can see why! It was so clear and flavorful. I ordered the #22 and added oxtail it was delicious, although a bit fatty. We also ordered the papaya salad with smoked liver and beef, I'd probably pass on the smoked liver seeing as it resembled beef jerky, however, it tasted decent overall. Spring rolls were great too, we asked for it pork-less and they happily obliged. We ordered the young coconut and it was delicious. But it didn't come in an actual coconut. The only reason this is isn't 5 stars is because I ordered an extra bowl of broth and it didn't taste or look the same as our pho, it also tasted saltier.Overall I can't wait to come back!
After being really excited to try this place, it really was just... okay. I got the spring rolls and the pho. The portion sizes were enormous - I got the large pho bowls and they were LARGE. I got five meals out of just one serving, which is great value. The spring rolls were also quite large and pretty good. However, for all the hype the pho wasn't anything incredible. The ingredients were decent quality, but the broth was a little bland and I would have preferred it spicier. Also, they are a cash only establishment despite the fact that we are in a pandemic, which I didn't love.Overall, worth a visit, but I don't think this will be a regular place for me.
A proper update for this place after eating here for several years. Cash only. The pho here is pretty darn good. For the price of $11.25 for a medium bowl of pho and quick service. The Thai tea was pretty decent for only $3.50. I reccomend getting it! The small size for pho is pretty small so get at least a medium if you're hungry, in my opinion. The meat isn't duper premium, seems like it was frozen and then sliced, but I still enjoyed it. The wait outside is always very long for a table though so be prepared to stand in line.
It’s been a while to be back to OC and while the weather in December this year is so cold and raining, we want to have a good Vietnamese Pho for lunch. From the local recommendation, we went for the Pho 79 restaurant. It’s one of the oldest Vietnamese restaurants in the OC area. The Pho is quite good, especially the broth. We ordered different kinds of Pho and enjoyed them very much. Highly recommended.
A good Pho place if you're in the area to come and try out. The parking situation is not the best but if you're able to find parking in the small lot then you'll enjoy the food. I came here with my uncle family last night since I was in the area and they took me here. I got the 79 Bowl which is #33, my cousin got the Pho with Meat balls which is #30 and my uncle got the #26. They don't have the sauces bottle on the table, they give it to you in a small plate which I didn't like because I like to put a lot of Sriracha in my noodle bowl.
Best Pho Restaurant in OC- Cash Only only Downside
When there for lunch with a group of friends and all my friends got the food they order first. I waited for a while and I still didn’t get my food. So I try to call the waiter but they just seem to chat and ignore me. When I ask about my food they said they will take a look. He came out with a bowl of Pho which did not look like any of the other bowl of pho they serve my friends. My friends bowl is dark black and a tall with V shape top. Mine was a just a regular looking bowl. So I didn’t mine but I wonder why mine is different. After having a few bit. I found a piece of clear plastic bag in my bowl. I was in shock and almost vomited. They didn’t seem to care very much and act like is a normal thing. The owner casually said do you want another bowl. I said no and my friends and i paid a leave. I would never eat or go there again. The worst pho I ever had leaving nasty experience.
