Parking: I went on a Sunday around 11am and there was a farmer’s market event right in front. Still plenty of parking behind buildingAmbience: Modern and great live music playing from the farmers market just outsideService: The best service I’ve had at a coffee shop. I told the girl at the counter it was my first time there and wasn’t too sure what I wanted to try. After she recommended a few drinks she offered to just have me try it once it’s made before paying and if I didn’t like it she can change it. I always ask for military discount to see what businesses support military and I would send my support back by giving the discount back in the form of the tip and word of mouth. The cashier told me they don’t have it set up but one drink was on them.Food: I order the Phin style Ca Phe Sua Da and seasonal taro Affagato. The Ca Phe Sua Da was definitely different and great in their own unique way. Not as strong as the traditional Ca Phe Sua Da. The Taro affagato came out brownish which caught me off guard thinking I was going to get a purple drink. It wasn’t until I missed it when it changed colors. Both drinks were great choices!Overall: The welcoming vibe and service I received on my visit was just an amazing experience. The drinks were very flavorful. I would highly recommend this place and would definitely return.
We needed a solid coffee place while staying at Great Wolf Lodge over the weekend. Using my trusty Yelp app, I found Phin Smith amongst a sea of other suggested coffee shops. What stuck out was the incredible reviews-- close to 1100 with a jaw dropping five-star average! That's just unheard of. People raved not only about the coffee but the customer service. We were convinced we had to try it the next morning. I loved how patient the barista was with how slow we were ordering, even though they were busy. She also made it a point to ask if we wanted to try our drinks before paying for them, just to make sure we were happy with them.My husband was really happy with the Banana Coffee. He can't have dairy, so it was made without the condensed milk. He had it plain with no sweetener and said it was perfect just as it was.My girlfriend absolutely loved her Vietnamese Iced Coffee. Since she wasn't sure if we were still going to visit Phin Smith as planned, she got herself a Dunkin Donuts cold brew from the hotel. Right after she sipped her ca phe sua da, she laughed and said, "I'm throwing away my Dunkin coffee when we get back to the hotel."We are fans! Both the drinks and the service were topnotch.
If you like getting your work at coffee shops or just trying new drinks, then this is 100% the right place for you. They offer a large variety of specialty drinks at a pretty average price. The service there has been great in the past as well. The place has always felt pretty hipster in the past since they even go as far as to offer free feminine products in their restrooms (not sure if they still do).
Great, unusual flavored coffee drinks and matcha. The price is the same as Starbucks about $4-6. There are many flavors to try: banana, avocado, lavender, coconut, charcoal, blueberry, and macarons. We get a horchata and a blueberry matcha latte. In the first sip the horchata is a bit too sweet but after a while it tastes alright with strong coconut milk flavor. The blueberry matcha latte is something we would order again. Nice blueberry scent and matcha doesn't taste grassy or grainy. Overall, it can be crowded on weekends but the wait is worth it.
Service is excellent, on point. It was our 1st time and they told us we can try before pay. 1 less star because the blended☕ we had (classic Viet, coconut ? the coffee wasn't as bold). The aroma, flavor and creaminess were ? right on. Definitely will come back.
My husband and I tried this place for the first time today and were very impressed with the service and the drinks we ordered. A man my husband was talking with was so kind to treat us to our drinks since this was our first time-- what a great feeling that gave us!If you're familiar with Cafe sua da, don't expect the same flavor here. Robusta coffee beans, rather than Arabica, are used for their drinks and it has a taste reminiscent of hazelnut. I had the hot Oahu Joe, which is coffee with coconut hazelnut syrup. It wasn't sweet enough for my taste so I had them add an extra shot of syrup, which I liked. My husband had the cafe sua da, which he liked also. They'll also add an extra shot of espresso to any drink for no charge. There are pictures on Yelp of their outdoor patio, but unfortunately the patio belongs to the patisserie next door, which is only open F-S-S; however they have 8-10 tables indoors. There are also pictures of food on Yelp, but Phin Smith serves no food.Parking is on-street or a lot across the street which holds about 20-25 cars, and we had no problem finding parking at 10:00 a.m. on a Thursday.
Coconut coffee was amazing! Friendly staff. Run, don't walk.
I recently moved to the Garden Grove area when I stumbled upon this amazing coffee shop. The baristas are friendly and welcoming, and they make sure that you enjoy your drink before you pay. That's unheard of! Their customer service is top-notch, and I will definitely be coming back here again.
Banana coffee is fire the guys there are super friendly and nice. Dude this is the place i love it you just got big fan here we need one in UTAH please
I love how this Cafe has many different types of coffee and they are all really good! I mean, they have very innovative creations like the banana coffee! And my favorite is their holiday selection!
