I've been on the hunt for a good KBBQ place in OC for the past few weeks and I think I may have found the perfect spot! Pan Korean BBQ had everything I was looking for when reviewing their menu on Yelp so my bf and I decided to give them a try this past weekend. We arrived on Saturday evening around 6:30pm and there was no wait, we were seated right away. The restaurant has table seating for regular customers and private dining room options going around the perimeter of the main area. The enclosed rooms would be nice if you have a larger party and want a more private experience. Our waiter came around pretty quickly to get our order. We ended up going with the cheapest AYCE option which is $22.99 and has a nice variety of options to choose from. I went with my usual: Beef bulgogi, Spicy beef bulgogi, Corn cheese and Rice cake. The meat was marinated well and had a ton of flavor. Corn cheese was delicious as well - I don't know what kind of cheese they used but it paired perfectly with the corn and tasted very fresh. I liked the consistency of the rice cakes, made for a nice side dish with the meat and corn. I'll have to try more dishes when I go back. The only thing I will note is that the service was quite slow. While we had a great server, he was very friendly and tried his best at being attentive to us - it did take a while to place further orders and get our bill. I know the restaurant started getting pretty busy after we arrive so maybe they just needed more servers working but that was the only downfall of our experience at Pan Korean BBQ. Other than that I will definitely be back because their food is delicious and just right for me!
Today, i had shabu with my husband. We never cared about the price but all happened tonight so bad. I won’t come back again!!!!!They allowed me to order 3 dishes/ times but every round let me wait about 30 mins. The server is korean, service is good but do not understand what i ordered. I asked for crab, pork and scallop but they are served me as beef, clam (smell so BAD) and scallop to me. ???MOREOVER, the angry thing is WE SAT 2 HOURS HAD 6 DISH STILL HUNGRY because we have to wait the food so long long long very long even though do not have much customer. I’m look around just about 4 tables with 2 servers. It’s doesn’t make senses. Do you know? How long ? She refilled soup a second time and already evaporated but food not come yet. ???Then we gave up and go grab MC because hungry!!!We follow the food many many time and very polite. Finally, i gave tip to server!!! Because i try to polite but I won’t back !!! If you are hungry should not go to this place !!!!!!
We called ahead last Monday at around 10:15p to see if they would still be open. A really nice auntie answered the phone and kindly explained that they were still seating people until 11pm. Wifey and I were hyped, so we go. We get there and the warmest most nice server Quan helped us with everything we needed that night. Food was great and their meal packages were awesome, but we opted for the cheapest one as it had so much items included within. Their soju selection was great as well and soft serve ice cream served with a lot of care and attention to detail despite the place being busy, especially for one server. Place was super clean. Like, really well maintained for a place that is open so late at night and having only one server on the clock. Owners are doing it right and Quan is an asset for sure. Even back of the house was on it. They made sure the dining room was well supplied with clean fresh grills. Make sure to buy a lot here and tip your servers.Owners 10/10Staff 10/10Food 10/10Value 10/10Would give more stars but Google likes to dictate how I live my life.
Very very over priced!! We went there and spent $70 for basically terrible meats. The meat was very very fatty and the seafood tasted dirty and old. I only rated it 2 stars because the service for our table was great very attentive Staff and my son(2) liked the side order of cold noodles and the rice. Lesson learned. Don't waste your time.
First time here and very disappointed. family of 4, We want bpq and sabu sabu it charged $35.99 + $5 extra. Meat and broth not good. Service is ok .Sunday night but not busy. Do not recommended . Go different Restaurants for better foods and less expensive
Just started coming here a few months ago and it has definitely been my go to place. Always quick and attentive service compared to the other chains I used to love and adore.KBBQ is usually pretty eventful when you go with a group, but coming here has so far been easy and casual for us which is nice cause sometimes you don’t wanna have to wait 1-2 hrs just to get slowwwwwww service when it’s power hour.
I came here to eat all you can eat barbecue for one person they wanted to charge me an extra $6 because of one person only $25.99 to 31.99 ripp off.
Super incredible quality of meat.Worth every penny.
Worst kbbq experience I've ever had.Service was a complete mess, even if you push the button, they ignore it. If you try to flag down a server, they walk past you without even looking, or completely ignoring you.We had to grab our own napkins, drinks, and constantly ask for meat.Food was ok, nothing great.Only the young server was good, wish i could of tipped her personally, the others didn't deserve anything, but she must of went on break.Would never recommend this place.
Found this place at 10:30pm cause nothing else was open, but what a gem. The quality of the meat is right on par with AYCE restaurants in LA and they even give you one soon-doobu, one soy bean paste stew, and one steamed egg PER PERSON. Normally, you get one for every four people...There was only one waitress working at the time (bless her heart), but despite the workload, she was super friendly and always stopped by to see if we needed anything. I'll be back if I'm ever in the area!
