Joe's Crab Shack has always been great, and although it's been 7 years since our last visit, quality is still right up there compared to our last visit. Highly recommend giving it a try if you want to indulge yourself with crab. Our server, 'Face' was amazing. Great guy, lots of laughs, and very attentive. He checked up on us several times after our food was brought to the table to make sure everything was good. He made this a very memorable trip to the restaurant.
Hosts we’re great, waiter was new and confused. Had a moment of miscommunication and proceeded to go back and forth with me. Manger Robin is very rude. Tried to talk to him about my concerns, got two sentences out before he’s says ok and what’s your point? I don’t get it, what are you trying to say, I’m not understanding and then he began to laugh. Well if he’s let me finish talking he would have UNDERSTOOD! I asked for an area managers info and he continued to laugh and said good look he’s in Missouri, asked me if i want corporate’s number instead? Said ok I’ll take it, he then said it and tied to walk away. When I asked him to write down or if there was a card he began laughing again. All around not good experience!P.s. our appetizer looked nothing like it should have and tasted very mediocre for Joe’s.
This was my first time here. We have Joe's Crab Shacks in St. Louis, but they are slowly dying. I'm not surprised because the last couple times I went, they didn't have any crab... so, it was nice to see the full menu available and reasonably priced. We arrived at lunch time and the place was barely busy. The atmosphere seemed clean, but we spent most of our time outside which was very pleasant. Our server was attentive, friendly, and fast. Our food was wasn't all that special, but for the price I wasn't expecting gourmet. I'd come back again if I were in the area.
This location was great. No wait time, the food came quick and the taste was very good. We opted for their steam crab with potatoes, shrimp and corn. Great flavor, amazing presentation, worth the price. Of course it’s fun to wear their bibs, and use their tools to break open your crabs. For guests who don’t appreciate sea food, they have plenty of options. On this occasion my party ordered their burger, which was very juice. As well as penne chicken Alfredo, which was a bit on the cheesy side, some people might think it’s too much. Their specialty drinks are great, and just the right balance of alcohol. The only thing we all agreed was a negative, was their garlic butter, it was good but we felt it needed more flavor. Plenty of parking, real clean bathrooms, and very friendly staff. On this occasion Jessica was our server, and she was amazing and very attentive. Overall a great time and great food.
Absolutely perfect. Dinner was great. Great taste. Waiter was great always checking on us. Very happy.
It was a great experience. We had a combination type plate and everything on the plate was great. The service was very good and it's a great atmosphere. We both wore masks to the table and then took the masks off but it looks like a very clean and safe place to eat.
Just left here and we won’t be back. Service was friendly, but very slow. My daughters steak came out completely under done, we sent it back and by the time she got it back we were all done our meal. They didn’t take it off the bill which is totally unacceptable. Server was Nikki. We won’t be back again, not worth the $100 bill for an average meal and very poor service
Joe's Crab Shack has been around a long time. What once was a fun seafood dining experience has become mediocre at best. My latest trip yielded cold Atlantic Steampots. Very disappointing given the restaurant was maybe 10% full if that.
Definitely a place where the food looks good but the taste was almost bland.Presentation, as expected was marvelous.I had to ask if they even salt the water, and they don't. If you want the meat to have any flavor, ask for the garlic butter bath.Still paid full price for them to put it back in the pot and overcook it some more.Ordered a shrimp sampler, stuffed mushrooms, and an Atlantic steamer pot.Mushrooms could have had a few more minutes, the breading was mush. The Steamer pot had corn that was undercooked, shrimp and lobster was overcooked, and the crab was perfect. The potatoes and sausage were not appetizing. Our waiter didn't come to check on us to see if the food was okay, if we needed refills on our beverages, but instead went straight to seeing if I needed the manager when things went wrong. I had to go up to him, as he asked everyone around my son and I if they were good, how was their food and if they'd like refills.Decent food, respectable staff but very poor experience overall.Been going to Joe's Crab Shacks all over the country and by far this was the worst.Sad because it was a late celebration for my birthday.
Excellent experience! Definitely pricey, but worth it! Recommend going with a partner and getting a bucket for 2. Fun-cracking experience, lots of crab, shrimp, and lobster. Food is good. But the experience is what makes it great!
