Absolutely delicious and authentic Korean dishes. Highly recommended!
We ordered the Kalgooksu, janchi guksu, and the shrimp+veggies tempura. Large portions for all three and the Kalgooksu and the tempura were excellent! However, the janchi guksu was mediocre and I wouldn't recommend it. Service was great!
It had been several years since we went to Hangari the last time. Before we went on a long hiatus, we used to go quite often. Without going into too much detail on the reason for our hiatus, we went back today, and it was pretty much the same as it was before which is good. Our go-to menu is the kalguksu, and the taste was exactly the same, and the portions were great, too. Their kimchi is also awesome!
Haven't had Hangari for some time now and was anxious to have their delicious food as I have always remembered having...so I thought. Their food quality is definitely not as I remember being, as the quality has dropped significantly. Use to love their assorted fried platter, but when last ordered, they seem to have added some unwanted item to the fried platter...apples! Who puts apples in a fried vegetable/shrimp and octopus platter! Also, their fried wontons/mandu used to be sooo good, now the fillings are just blah! as they no longer have any meat in their mandu filling...are they just cutting costs? It is a bad way to cut costs, as I will not ever return to their establishment again.
Their kalgooksu is huge so we get one order to share and get the assorted fried twigim (like tempura) veggies&shrimp/squid. Really good food but lunch time does get busy.
Great noodle and kimchi. Hand made dumplings were great too. Would recommend to anyone.
Good Korean F??D!!
Surprisingly bad customer service, hope this was just an off day for the waitress. Could use some background music I, news, k-drama. Food was ok, not great, but not that many kalgooksu places in the area. Kalgooksu was ok, had the better broth out of the three soups I had. Recommend having a special kalgooksu with more clams and charge more for it. Mandu had minimal meat, I did not taste it but looked very mass produced.
Korean noodle, kimchi, steamed wantang and deep fried vege are?
Came as a party of 5 and ordered several staples to share- kalguksu (for 2), yulmu bibim guksu, ramen ddukbokki, and assorted tempura. The tempura is a pretty good deal compared to what sushi restaurants will charge for the same portions. They were out of mandu by lunch time which was a bummer but everything we got was as delicious as I remember.
