I don't venture to Garden Grove often, but pleasantly surprised to see an entire street with fun cafes and restaurants within walking distance from each other. Decided to meet a friend for happy hour since it was a mid-point between Irvine and Fullerton. Gas prices are on the rise, so you gotta compromise. When you walk into Aum, the decor just wows you. Industrial meets contemporary, which was a stark contrast compared to their location & surrounding businesses. Since we arrived on a weekday, there was plenty of seating from bar, high tables and regular table seating. We chose the high top table near the window and got started with drinks. We made it in time for happy hour, which includes some discounted beverages + food. We got the shrimp & octopus ceviche, cajun fries, and hamachi carpaccio. The ceviche was fantastic and they provide chips to the table. I would definitely skip the hamachi next time since it was really fishy. We had to douse it in hot sauce to cut that undesirable flavor. Cajun fries were good and delivered a nice kick & mild heat!We went on a weekday, so the space was super chill and not too noisy. I think we spent about 3-4 hours there and the staff was pretty prompt on refilling waters and our glasses for round 2. Really nice space and wouldn't mind meeting there again.

Got a bit of something before heading over to The GEM Theater for a show.I sat at the bar. The bartender whose name escapes me (and I can't find the receipt to check) was friendly and attentive. He was very helpful.I ordered the Aum Fashioned (great), Braised Phoenix Claws (good and had a kick), Chili Garlic Edamame (great), and pour of the Basil Hayden's Rye (good and smooth).Overall atmosphere was great and hope to go back soon to try more of the menu. Couldn't this time due to time constraints.

Great food, excellent service! Definately worth a visit!

the garlic noodle is tasty with the right amount of garlic smellthe tamarine sauce that goes soft shell crab is superb authentic and immediately remind me of Vietnamese street food

Me and my girlfriend went here for the first time. We ordered garlic parmasean wings and garlic noodles. The wings were 9/10 excellent wings. Garlic noodles were 10/10 can’t wait to go back again im we we are in town. This place is similar to ob noodle house

Food and service are amazing. Good selections of beer. We came on a Tuesday so there was no wait time and the service was pretty fast. Our server was very attentive and kept asking if we needed anything. This is our new favorite place to go!

We had oyster so good, shrimp and octopus ceviche, drunkin mussel, and garlic noodles with steak. For drinks the chocolate old fashion, and regular old fashion everything was soo good. Service was on point. ?missed photos because we eat to quickly.

Came here Monday night for drinks—the place was fairly empty so we got two seats at the bar. Our bartender Ramon was awesome, super friendly and attentive—and he made our cocktails perfect the way we liked it! The restaurant has a cute decor and even had some Lunar New Year decorations. After a few cocktails, we decided to order some food—French Fries (truffle) and the Garlic Noodles with Shrimp. The noodles were delicious and overall well flavored!

I did not expect the food to be good since it's more like a pub to me but it turned out pretty great! I liked octopus and grilled squid the most. Garlic noodle is not the best but decent, and the beer is okay ?

Great place to hang out with friends after work on a Friday evening..TGIF ultimate hangout and relaxing spot!
