One of my fav spots. I can't order anything but the Aglio Olio and steak milanese, help lol. My son tried the kids galic bread pizza and loved it. He now loves this spot. We will be back...yay. Martinis are great, and love the week specials. Hard to take pics with the low lights...love the feels of this place. My son loved the atmosphere ?
Our family took my wife out to Roman Cucuna for mother's day. This is one of her favorite restaurants. We were smart and stood in line early to grab a seat. Once the doors open we were greetedAnd headed to the hostess and then our table. Ordered drinks , appetizers and water was brought to our table. Love their calamari appetizers which were flavorful and perfectly prepared. We ordered spaghetti w/ meatballs, chicken parm , pest pasta , and a few more dishes I can't remember. Each time a entree was delivered to us it was just out of the oven. It's hard to explain but that difference really makes the flavor profile stick. I hard to describe how well that taste. Servers are well versed and easily handled the crowds. I love how the staff knows how to tag team to keep the experience alive. Great place , awesome staff and don't forget the Canolies. What a beautiful Mother's day dinner.
Had a wonderful dinner at Roman Cucina! Started with the octopus then had a fettuccini pasta special which was delicious. Then I had a sea bass type fish special with an olive tamponade and my husband had the shrimp. Both very tasty and the sauces were perfect. The only downside was the service. Our waitress,Flori, was pretty much vacant during the whole meal. No one checked in to ask how our meal was either. I think the staff helps each other out,but she was vacant except for the very beginning and the very very end with the check. Service should be at a notch above what we experienced especially when we spend $100 each.
Amazing place. Thank you so much. I had a great time. You have a great restaurant. I will definitely be coming back. The food was great, some of the best Italian food I have ever had. Service was great, super nice and antetive staff. Prices are spot on and portions are big, will recommend this place.
Man talk about service! These guys were doing laps around the restaurant just waiting for us to either finish a plate or ask for water. The food was great and the ambiance is awesome too, worth a try!
First time visit food is outstanding. Highly recommend. Made me feel like I was home in NY with the quality of food and taste.
Best Italian restaurant I've eaten at in a long time. Being Italian myself, I've stopped going to Italian restaurants. I grew weary of being disappointed. But I'll be back to this restaurant! Restaurant opened in 2005 and I just made my first visit. Like I said, I'm making the drive to go back and I'm going to drag other's with me. Great dining experience and great food and great staff! Good job to everyone involved with making this restaurant so amazing!
Location 4*Service 4*Food 3*This used to be our #1 Italian go to spot in Southern California. However, our last visit bringing friends here to try it out disappointed us.The salad dressing, which was on a whole new level of amazing, now doesn't taste the same, watered down or something was wrong with it.The pastas aren't as flavorful anymore either, I don't know if it's a new chef, but something is off.Desserts have always been a disappointment, do not get any of them. This has always been the case since the first time we've been coming.I hope the owners go back to their original quality of food. We've been coming here for years and rave about it to all our friends. Also, please revamp the dessert menu! Ice cream scoops, and big chocolate chips on whipped cream aren't good.
Awesome service!Salad has a great combination with a just right amount of oil and lime. The "Pasta our way" sausage was more tasty than the meatball, but all together great combination with the Fottuccin pasta! We tried the tiramisu as a desert which was delicious and in a good size for sharing! My favorite Italian restaurant in LA so far!
Very very loud on a Friday. Packed but fun environment. Seating a little tight as well. The 5 stars is for the food, this has some amazing and tasteful dishes. We had the chx parm marinara for appetizer and I had a spicy creamy chx penne pasta which was amazing. Warm bread and butter.
