This place is a gem! The breakfast burritos have crack baked right in.... They are so good... The carne asada burritos are large and in charge but the nachos are my favorite. They use a Chile Verde sauce with beans and guac.... So good...They do a half order if you're solo and a full order is plenty for 2! Don't forget the salsa... Both the red and green are fantastic! A true gem!
We have lived close by for over 30 years and have been going here for many of those years. The food is usually delicious. I visited yesterday and the food was a little below average, but the real problem is customer service!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The workers were horrible, I hope they receive some training while the have next week off. I will visit again but if I get the same treatment I will take my business somewhere else. It was THAT BAD.
Found a huge plastic piece in my burrito! Went to get a refund and the manager only gave me a refund for the item that had the chunk of plastic in it, wouldn't refund the other food that SHE threw away. Like we were going to eat the rest of the food after pulling plastic out my mouth. Went on Yelp and yep, others have photos of trash in their burritos. Went inside and there is construction happening in the kitchen while food was being prepaired. Not a clean environment. Wife's tummy was upset all night and morning and I'm livid.
So.... I have been to this place before and have had plenty of guacamole from them.Today i get 3 meals and all had guac(, so we thought) turns out they have started being CHEAP AND ADDING FILLERS TO THE FOOD. The guac was 90% lettuce and when i say lettuce i mean the stringy sat out lettuce that won't break and feels like slime in your mouth and the other 10% is some type of avacado mix.Needless to say the expensive green side that we all love was the worst part of the meal. Well slightly not as bad as the customer service. It's some older woman who thinks what she says is final...Pepe's i used to love y'all but after today i will not be coming back. Your lack of trying to understand the frustration of the customer when you gave them a salad rather than the advertised guacamole is utterly annoying especially when i just spent $40 at the establishment to have the advertised food and not filler without any warning or labeling of the product on your websites and the menu boards.
YOU CAN NEVER GO WRONG! Portions are huge, affordable and delicious! As a latina you know real good authentic Mexican food when you find it! I’ll never not stop by this location when I visit. Even if the line appears long don’t fret! You will get your food timely and it’s always fresh and you won’t regret it! The owners are so nice and welcoming! Can’t wait to see all the new renovations.
Place is run down, drive thru card reader asks for tips, had to ask for salsa and they didn’t give me a fork. But the food is so good I’m giving this 5. The guacamole is really good and fresh, big portions, good prices and hard workers.
Pepe's has decent Mexican food in huge servings! You can easily share a burrito with a friend and you'll both be full. They are constantly plagued with small operational problems. Currently, they have no fountain drinks for sale so if you want a Mexican Coke in a glass bottle. If you are looking for Pepe's amazing Flan, you're out of luck sure to the oven being broken. The last criticism is the line of cars in the drive through can be very convincing to go somewhere else. Sometimes it's out to the street and service is slow as molasses. If you're in a hurry, Pepe's is not a good first choice.
Gave me wrong order because I nearly do joy use this location. Ordered same food as always but because different location they pit different items in burritos. Even tho it's not listed on menus. Brought back and was given the correct food nut with a talking to cuz they are better than the others and they normally don't do redo on their food. Won't be back to this locale
This is probably not going to be a surprise to most but Pepe's have this breakfast burrito and you can get it without pork ?. I ordered mine with chicken. The size of that burrito was huge. Anyways I'm happy there still serving great food during these epic times. Enjoy your feast at Pepe's and bring an appetite because your going to need it?. Oh yeah, even if their not serving fountain drinks it's still worth it.
