Descent food and afford price. Get the combo plate. You get 3 different meats (chicken, pork and beef) with rice, and macaroni salad. I do recommend this spot for entire family.
[Edit: Food is good, but they need to stop using styrafoam as the hot chicken melts the styrafoam and leaches into the food]After 30 plates and counting, I'm pretty sure the BBQ chicken here is freaking awesome.
Fish sandwich was large an very good!! My son liked what he ordered as well!!
I've had lots of loco Moco from the Hawaiian Islands and all over the place and this is by far in the top three best loco mocos I've ever had. The staff were not friendly nor what I would have as employees at my personal business but the food far surpassed expectations so it's still getting a five-star review. Like I said the best loco Moco not on the islands by far.
Had Kahlua Pork Plate... Pork maybe considered the other white meat except in Hawaii where pork is considered and then acted upon. ..then crafted into Kahlua Pork... And Maui Hawaiian BBQ does know how to craft their pork into kalua pork and one of my favorite Hawaiian dishes and I will be back...
Love this place. For the price, it feeds like 2 people. Though I really eat it all myself. Chicken katsu curry and Maui chicken curry is awesome.
Good food large servings just bit of wait.
After taking my pup to Banfield, we went exploring in this shopping strip and found Maui Hawaiian BBQ. Thought we'd give it a try and ordered the chicken katsu combo. For this first visit, the chicken was moist with a light crispy breading, and not greasy showing the correct Hawaiian way and Japanese influences. Mind you it wasn't just cabbage bedding but a mixture with carrots, the traditional way!! The macaroni was just right with the 2 scoops of rice that was the way it should be. In comparison to my former favorite,"One BBq" thg his restaurant out performs", I read the other reviews and find it fascinating, for my review it was top of my list of authentic Hawaiian fusion that reminds me of Mayi!!! Mahalo, and great job... this is kamaina place bro!!!
Katsu chicken was perfectly cooked. Crunchy! Tasted and looked like panko bread crumbs. Perfect sticky rice and macaroni salad that was better than most Hawaiian bbq places.
I unfortunately chose to eat lunch here while taking a class in the area. I ate about a 10th of my food, threw the rest out and now feel sick. I had to wait 20 minutes for my food, The chicken was undercooked and way too salty, total waste of money ?
