I don't know who makes the playlist here, but I love them. Interior decor is fun, authentic, and beautiful. Great spot for a date or with family, but don't come here in a large group ? It's a peaceful, balanced, and smaller space.Nigiri here is wonderful. You HAVE to try the Blackened Cod

Good sushi, great atmosphere.1st star Short staff for a Tuesday evening. Recommend 3 front end staff to juggle pick ups orders and serving a full restaurant. Long wait times and numerous patron calls towards waitress/waiter.2nd star - Fresh dozen of oysters were not good. At $4/each they were Full of shells and sand. Couldn’t even finish them they were that bad. Recommend to rinse them out after being shucked.

Visited Kaori Sushi on a Friday night and we truly enjoyed our experience.Once we got there, we put our name in our sign up sheet and they called our name within 20 mins (not bad for a Friday night at an establishment in Downtown Fullerton area). As we walked inside the restaurant, you get the feeling that you are being transported to a different world. The decor and the ambiance inside the restaurant is amazing. We ordered the salmon sashimi, green mussels, salmon skin roll, king salmon roll and Philadelphia roll. The salmon sashimi was very fresh, we loved that the pieces of salmon were on the thicker side. The green mussels were so good, the creamy sauce perfectly coated the top of the mussel and we enjoyed that we were able to taste the smokiness in the shell from the baking process. The salmon skin roll and Philadelphia roll were very simple rolls, no fillers, which is something we appreciate from sushi restaurants. All the pieces were bite size. Lastly, the king salmon roll, which is California roll with salmon and avocado on top.Overall our experience at Kaori Sushi was amazing, can't wait to stop by again very soon.

wish I knew about this place sooner. Will definitely be back! very fresh great sake and very nice staff.

Always love Kaori !! Fresh and delicious and super friendly !! They are my #1 Japanese food fine dining spot. THANK YOU, KAORI !!

First time at Kaori. Great sushi. The bite of the nigiri reminds me of Takashi in Salt Lake City which is a great standard. 10/10. Wish they had two rolls they don’t but I’ll ask next time. Excellent sushi!

Cozy little restaurant with authentic Japanese decor. Good food and service. Could easily see this becoming my go-to sushi spot.

Delicious sushi, clean, cute Japanese decor, great music and wonderful service. We had a large group of 9 and they took such good care of us. Had the Saturday Night Roll, it was so delicious that I and the husband ordered another one. Delicious seaweed salad, miso soup and matcha green tea. I can’t wait to return! Prices are fair and the fish is super fresh.

Small inside but very comfortable and has a very intimate and authentic sushi joint vibe. Sushi chefs work quickly, sitting at the bar was great. Our server for the 2 kitchen items ordered and for our drinks was fantastic. The chefs choice for the sushi and sashimi was far beyond my expectations. The sushi chef chose some fish we've never had but it was all way better than what I'd normally choose for myself. I will definitely be back to bring my family. Not an ideal location for large groups over 6 or 8 due to seating. Price was average compared to other sushi joints.

Some of the best sushi I’ve had. We had a shrimp roll, valentines roll, a signature yellow tail roll thag I can’t recall the name of (favorite). Nice aesthetic and the service was prompt and very courteous.
