I’ve been to 2 different locations now. I was satisfied with the quality of the meat and sides that came out. Everything seemed nice and fresh. Our server was wonderful and came to check up on us many times throughout our dining time. The quantity is moderate per each dish you order however that is helpful in managing waste. Since this is an all you can eat you can always order more if the first portion wasn’t enough. Grill changes were frequent to keep our cooking experience nice as well. Lagunitas IPA Pitcher my first try was wonderful. Tarty and flavorful with a nice subtle punch kicking in after your first glass. A pitcher is good for 4 glasses and after 3 I had my dining partner finish the final glass. Wonderful experience overall.
Little pricey but good food. Burner went out so was good 10+ mins before got back on. That was only issue.
The 1st time visit to this restaurant in Fullerton that was opened last year. A great bargain as we can try many different meats at AYCE quality. The server was attentive and quick to serve. The wait was short as it was a little early for dinner but there were lot of people waiting when we left the Place later. So if you can, come a little early.
Just had to read the reviews before giving feedback trying to see whether I (the customer) am the one wrong. But I guessI am not. I am not the only one who thinks that this location has RUDE employees - particularly the manager and hostess. And definitely not customer-friendly policies. I’ve eaten in other Gen restaurants, but didn’t receive this treatment in the other locations. The other review is right - this place feels entitled even though this location looks the smallest, oldest, and dirtiest compared to the other Gen locations I’ve eaten in. Definitely telling other people not to go to this particular location.
Terrible service also the table burner was not working properly.
All you can eat. Kind of bigger than average and fairly chonky portions. The Gen premium chadol was stand out flavour-wise. Super basic, and maybe somewhat unconventional banchan offerings, but what there was, satiating. Pretty satisfied!March 2022
The staff was excellent and super helpful. Unfortunately, there is a considerable wait time to sit down. So best be ready to have something to do in the meantime. I'm not sure if it was just when I was there, but the floors felt slippery. The food, though, was good.
First time at Gen Korean BBQ. I have to say the service was exceptional. I do have to say the food was just OK. It just wasn't for me. My family enjoyed it and the place was absolutely packed. The short rib was my favorite. The brisket and pork belly were ok. I know there is a lot of fans of Korean BBQ, just doesn't do it for me.
