Not really a flavor in the crust, sauce or in the over all pizza as a whole. I had the pepperoni and a slice of cheese. Blah, blah, blah. The worker acted more sorry that I came in than I did. Yes it was about a half hour till they closed. BUT, I don't think the pizza would have tasted any better if they had just opened. Sorry, just my opinion.
It had been a couple years since I had been inside this place, so I walked inside (didn't notice the new sign) thinking it was still a Pizza Press or whatever... So, I was expecting to order a personal sized pizza, which they don't do here, lol. It's more traditional, definitely New York style place, where you can buy pizza by the slice. I was kinda dead-set on ordering a custom pizza though, lol. And I'll be honest, when building a custom pizza, this place seems pretty darn pricey.. (it was like $2 for each additional topping.. scary). I think most will be happy ordering by the slice. They didn't have the beer I wanted, since they're currently working on installing the taps. This place is pretty new, and I think the owner is still getting settled in (and waiting for more people to realize they exist)... So I'll give 'em a break.I could technically complain about the little meaningless details, as some folks often do, BUT... A restaurant exists only for the sole purpose of serving food, so I will only judge them on the quality of the PIZZA.Now, let me tell you, that pizza was one of the BEST damn pizzas I've had in a looooong time! You don't run into many *legit* New York style pizza joints around OC, and so I wasn't prepared for how damn-good it was gonna be... It really caught me off guard!My recommendation: add the ricotta cheese!!! It's to-die for! The pizza pretty much blew my mind. I can't remember the last time a pizza made me feel that way. So... Pizza fanatics: Get your butt inside here and eat some damn pizza! You'll be glad you did!

As a HUGE fan of real NY style pizza, I can wholeheartedly say this is the closest I have found in Southern California. The crust is absolutely PERFECT - crispy on bottom with just a little bit of chewy dough too. The sauce is quintessential NY with a bright, vibrant tomato zing and just a hint of spice/seasoning. Cheese is the exact blend and quantity it should be. The cheese slices are just like being in NYC again, but without the long, cramped plane ride and the annoying shuttle or taxi... And the pepperoni was spot on! Not sure if they are simply importing all ingredients from one of the food distributors in NY, but damn!And to do those slices at $3.50 - with 2 slices and a drink combo at $8.50 - is the right price range!Definitely coming back for more!!
My review is not based on the taste or quality of their food.Just dropped in to get a pizza and they said we're closed when it says they close at 10pm. Either change your hours online or stay open till the time it says you will be open till. I wonder if the owner knows they were closing 11 minutes early. Bad business because we drove 15 min out of the way because it was recommended by the university staff that I work with. I'll just go down to Combo's down the street that has 4 1/2 stars and with over 500 of reviews. Not a good way to open up a new location.
Pizza by the slices tasted good though the crust was a lil over burnt on the pesto slice.The ice cream tasted pleasant yet oddish, didn't seem to be regular milk, texture wise.
Can I just ask why aren't team members not greeting their customers or guiding them to the line? Either they need more staff to improve the customer's experience. I had to wait at the pick up area for a while before someone asked me how I can be helped. I'm doing Doordarsh and pick up an order but this experience doesn't make me want to try or recommend this place. Hope it improves ?

Crust or dough tastes like old water piping.. everything else was great.
Such a great Pizza spot. Customer service is top notch and the Pizza is excellent.
