I was bragging to my cousin about how good the sandwiches were and how quick service was. Well that was the first time I went. This second time I went to take my cousin. We waited half an hour for our food. They never called her name. When. She went to ask the bag was sitting on the back counter. When we got home my sandwich was not as good as the first time I hardly had any meat. We ordered fries fries were not in the bag. Had to call and go back to pick up fries. Now their using shoestring fries the first time i went the fries were bigger and. better. I dont understand how they would want to change their menu
Great tasting sandwiches. I had the works and it really had the works in it.Update: had the works on Dutch crunch and it still tasted great
Awesome food and awesome customer service. Went in on my lunch break to get a sandwich and a salad. Got back to work and realized i was given the wrong sandwich. Any other place would've told me to come back in or would've gave me a credit. Sunnyside deli remade my sandwich and brought it to my work along with a brownie. That kind of customer service is hard to come by these days. Will definitely be recommending this place
The TBA Sandwich was hands down the best sandwich I've ever had.... Love it. I highly recommend this place to eat!
They had not much selection of Deli meats, salads olives.. Oh cookies and cakes to go or take out... It will take them time... Still miss The Original Owners and help like the mom Greg and Jenifer...!!! P. S. The reason for being low on stock probably was close to Closing Time...
Great tasting food, terrible at following their online order instructions. I’ve ordered 4 orders total, and 3 of them were completely wrong. Never again.
I have been a huge fan of Sunnyside Deli since high school, 2014-2015. The only place I have found with a veggie sandwich as good and unique as theirs. Through the closing and re opening of the deli, the sandwich has remained consistent and equally as good. Ive ordered sandwiches under both ownerships. It typically contains a rough chop of marinated artichoke hearts, olives, mushrooms, and other proprietary ingredients. Upon ordering today, I received a sandwich unlike the ones I've been getting for years. The veggie had a baby food like consistency that was unrecognizable in comparison to previous orders. In the less than 5 minute drive home from the deli, the bread was drenched and falling apart in my hand. It was unappealing, stringy, pasty, and looked more like tuna or chicken salad than anything. The bread could barely hold it together, and only had a sliver of avocado after paying extra for the addition. It's kind of disheartening to see a personal favorite entirely devolve over the course of 2 weeks. I'm always gonna give Sunnyside Deli another chance, as it's been a family owned and operated business as long as it's been around, and it's businesses like theirs that provide the best foods and services anywhere. The service was still impeccable. Nothing beats the quality and attentiveness of a small business. I'm just hoping this order is an outlier, and that the quality and consistency of the veggie sandwich can return to its former greatness.
Today was my first time in since the new owners. The staff was great. The addition of Tactical Ops beer's is nice to see. As a long time patron, I was not disappointed with the quality of the sandwich. Boars Head meats and cheeses are still being used. The vegetables we're fresh. The biggest difference is the bread, it is not the same Italian rolls that Greg and Co used to use. A spectacular sandwich all the same though. I look forward to coming back and trying the sides and soups. I hope they are just as successful as the previous owners. I love the new eco friendly to go packaging as well!
This place is awesome! Great food :)
Wow the food is good. I've only had one sandwich so far, The Works, and it was so very tasty. The staff was friendly and the service was pretty quick. I'll definitely be back!
