Wonderful miso soup and meal was above average. Large lunch crowd and it took 20 minutes to seat. Only drawback was the tempura sauce which was great with our appetizer shrimp tempura, however when we got our entrees, the tempura sauce was very watered down. Tried to get replacements, but they apparently didn't want to make more as lunch service was ending? ?
Great place, the food was great phenomenally flavorful. Server was outstanding. Loved the new York steak roll, the sexy mama roll was tender smooth and full of flavor, the lobster teriyaki steak was the best dish there that I tried. Nice and mild spice very flavorful great texture amazing taste!!! Highly recommended. Pricing wasn't so bad. I went during lunch and it wasn't busy no wait no line quick service. Will go try more dishes flavor.
We got miso soup which was great! For our rolls we got a spicy tuna roll, shobu roll, rainbow roll, and dragon roll. They were all great and the service was attentive we didn't have to ask for refills and the rolls came out quickly and were spicy just how we like it!
Probably the best sushi and fried rice around the valley. The egg rolls are a must!! The ramen is delicious also. This place is a hidden gem. Do yourself a favor and try it.
This place is my all time favorite for ramen! Not only in the environment clean and pretty, but the staff is also attentive, kind, and provide excellent service. We went for our anniversary lunch and I couldn't have been happier to spend it here. If you go, try the peace sake wine!
Great hospitality! Excellent sushi and chef's specials. Has the twin lobster tails..yummy! Lobster roll is a must along with the new york steak! Great atmosphere with the CHAMP! A must stop in Clovis to grab a few photos...
We finally decided to try the mini boat, and we loved it! Great for 2 people to share, great presentation, and we always love eating here. The staff is always very nice too.
My wife and I took my parents out and also invited our siblings and their other halves. Jerry and his crew took great care of us. The servers were really professional and courteous. Jerry, the owner, personally greeted us and served us. The sushis tasted as delicious as it looked. The restaurant was elegantly decorated, relaxing, and definitely met our expectations as a family feast theme. We will definitely be going back. My friend and I decided to try Shobu for sushi for lunch because of the good reviews. We should have paid more attention to the reviews that talked about the slow service. The first couple of items we ordered (edamame, sashimi plate, and a nigiri plate) were a little slow coming out, but not bad. Then we ordered two specialty rolls (spicy tuna roll and a dragon roll). About 20 minutes after that, we ordered one more specialty roll (crunch roll). When we ordered the crunch roll we asked about the first two rolls and the waitress told us the kitchen had accidentally burned them and they had to get remade (side note...how does a cold roll get burned?). It took almost 25 minutes to get the crunch roll and we still hadn't gotten the spicy tuna roll or dragon roll (almost 45 minutes after they were ordered!). Additionally, tables that had ordered after us got their food before we did. It was a frustrating and disappointing experience.
