The food was horrible, orange chicken was very dry and hard. We couldn't eat it.It took 40mins to get our foodThis place is really bad now!

Great cantonese style food!Being born and raised in Hong Kong, New City's dimsum is pretty good. There's no a whole lot of options but majority of the dimsum tastes above average. And being in Fresno where I feel has a lack of good chinese/cantonese food presence, I will recommend New City to everyone I know.Dimsum I suggest - porridge (one of the best I've had!), rice rolls, lotus wrap rice, tripe, chives dumpling, siu-maiI've also been to dinner time at New City as well, ordering from their huge selection menu. I had great experience!A-la-carte I suggest - steamed whole fish (with soy sauce), snow pea in garlic sauce, string beans in XO sauce, salt and pepper pork chopOverall, I enjoy New City's food everytime I go, and I would like to give thanks to the chef for preparing these homey food for people to enjoy. Me and my family have been back every weekend since we've found New City. Will keep coming back and upload tasty food pictures!

Ordered this place SPECIFICALLY for the STICKY RICE in the LEAF as seen ON THEIR MENU. I even CALLED the place right before placing order on DoorDash to MAKE SURE they had the STICKY RICE in LEAF. Told them my name as well so they knew exactly what order needed the sticky rice. I also ordered the SPICY orange chicken. I received NOTHING that I wanted. They put regular non-sticky STALE PLAIN WHITE RICE (no leaf) in both plates. Again, I called to MAKE SURE they had STICKY RICE IN LEAF! The lady was adamant that they would PUT STICKY RICE IN LEAF in my plates!! She had my name as well so she knew what order was mine. Again, this was THE ONLY REASON I ordered from this place to begin with! I wanted the STICKY RICE in LEAF, AS SEEN ON THEIR MENU. The "Spicy" Orange Chicken that they let you decide between mild, medium, or spicy.... HAD ZERO SPICE!!!! I ordered the hottest "SPICY"!!! Paid nearly $40 for 2 plates to be completely disappointed. Food is barely mediocre at best! Sooo many better Chinese food places out there. NEVER AGAIN WILL I ORDER FROM THIS PLACE!!!! Everything tastes like it's been sitting there for hours before being packaged up. DO NOT ORDER FROM HERE unless you want to pay for over priced bland food from people that can't follow basic instructions, even when you double check calling prior to making your order to make sure they will put the item you want. DISGUSTING.

My favorite Chinese restaurant in fresno! Food is always fresh and yummy! Service is always great

Actually if it’s possible, I would rate New City Chinese Cuisine a 4.5 star.Their food is good, not salty or greasy (like a lot of chinese restaurants do).Taste of the food can be hit-or-miss, I’d say 80% of dishes I tried tastes EXCELLENT, the remaining 20% of dishes are not my taste, but please note that it doesn’t mean the dishes are bad, just not to my personal taste. The interior of the restaurant seems a little out-dated, but it is kept fairly clean and neat considering that it’s an older building. The service at New City is great! They are always so busy but they keep a keen eye for all their customer and will tend to your needs if you need any. It’d be more welcoming if they can greet with more smiles. I have no complaint about their service but it could be better.

Ordered pork fried rice and fried chicken, was only given a small amount of rice (did not taste good) and a large amount of noodles. The noodles were mushy. I did not ask for noodles. Had to throw away the whole plate. My other order was chicken broccoli with low mein. The chicken was bland, no taste at all. Tried to eat the noodles with the broccoli until I found hair in it. First and last time.

I’ve came here every Sunday for their cart buffet, before corona. But it’s just a pleasure to go there. There are Seats for 15 people and seats for two. I really enjoy this place and recommend it.

Customer services is great and they have one of my favorite stir fried noodles which is the pork bean sprout chow mein. A must try guys!!! Overall, I love everything on the menu. Very satisfying!!

Dim Sum dishes are as tasty as San Francisco, all their pan fried noodle plates are great, also check out their lunch specials, great value. This is my families' GO TO restaurant when we're in town visiting families, so far we have been very happy with this restaurant.

Food was actually authentic and super fresh. The free soup that comes with the Mongolian spicy beef was really good and so was the Mongolian beef. It was my first time trying the Mongolian spicy beef and it was really good, fresh veggies and the noodles tasted superb. My wife loves that they serve boba tea as well it went great with he orange chicken. 10/10.
