Food is always great, and the portions are more than enough! ?? Order is always ready when ordering online. The staff is always friendly and never in a bad mood like some places.. ? Gave the 4 stars because I'm sure everyone can agree that the parking is terrible there, not to mention the GIANT pothole in the first entrance (which has been like that for years) ☹
They recently catered a family members wedding and the food was absolutely garbage. Brisket, chicken and tri-tip were all extremely dry. The tri-tip tasted like liquid smoke and other than that had no flavor. Not to mention they decided to massively up their pricing 3 days before the wedding when it's to late to hire another caterer. Pretty screwed up to hold the food hostage while you all but strong arm people for more money than what was originally agreed upon. Trash food sold buy an even trashier business.
Great BBQ. Had the hotlinks, pastrami and pulled pork with the BBQ beans and potato salad. Staff was great. Meat was excellent, but definitely had some unique flavors. Beans were great, savory, not sweet. Potato salad was good, but pretty standard. Nuclear sauce was spicy but not much flavor. Enjoyed the hottie sauce.
Great smoky food serves is fast and freindly. They have a good selection of meats. Side dishes are also good except for the beans they were ok but didn't meet their standards. Seating can be tight at times. Parking is also tight but area is safe. One of the best bque joints in fresno prices are low compared to other places. Their food is very consistent, if your looking for a good place to get your fingers saucy and your belly full on a budget then look no further!
Loved the bbq sauces .. food was GREAT! The baked potatoes were not worth the high price!! That is my only complaint.. will be back for more bbq.. friendly service?
I decided to have Maw and Paw BBQ cater my wedding Feb 2022 and we loved the food, the employees were super helpful, greatly generous portions, good communication, owner Bennett was super informative regarding serving sizes and had plenty of suggestions. Would totally use them again!
For this being my first experience with Maw n Paw's, I was really disappointed. First off, the bread roll is literally a cut in half hot dog bun. It's not at all an actual roll. Second, the potato salad, surprisingly, was the best part of my meal. It was actually good and I was able to eat it. Lastly, for the meat, I could not eat it. It was sopping wet yet the meat itself tasted so pasty and dry. The "bark" was literally just burnt, like it's not even bark. The tri-tip my husband got was paper thin. I really hate leaving a bad review on places. The customer service is awesome and welcoming, so I will lend a star to them. However, the food definitely needs work.

I normally don’t take pleasure to post an item or a food/ take out establishment, in this case I was totally dissatisfied and disappointed. The food quality was not pleasant to my taste buds. I guess I got there 1/2 hour later when they opened, I’m assuming, I was given the “leftovers” from previous day. A connoisseur of great ribs/ brisket, this order was given to me dry ( ribs/brisket). I can tell it was not “freshly”made. The coleslaw and beans, Horrible, I make it better. The interesting part about this, they don’t show you what has been ordered, they give you the bags, you pay, and enjoy your day! I reached out to the person at this establishment and shared my disappointment. Some of their reviews are not citing the truth. I was craving for brisket/ Ribs for the longest, I end up giving it to my furry animals as a treat. There goes my $30 bucks. … Update on this unpleasant experience, something good turn out well. I spoke with the Manager, explained my situation with the order, he had me come back and graciously provided some fresh ribs, Briskets, potato salad, Pilaf rice and a complementary Barbecue Sauce bottle. just stopped there to eat some bbq. The plate was so delicious, as well the guy (owner?) was very friendly, all staff was very friendly, found some same interests in BBQ and then we left with small gift. Good luck guys!
