We have been going to Mama Mia's on occasion for years... and almost always its for the calzones. Of the last 3 orders we've put in for veggie calzones, only one of them was really good. The other two, not so much. One was mostly cheese. The one we had last night the crust was undercooked and it was loaded with onions. I hate to say it, but I think after 34 years as an occasional customer ---> we are done here.There is a reason people eat at McDonald's even though it might be McShIt food: the ingredients and flavors are consistent. You know what you're going to get, even if you don't particularly care for it. Not so here. The end product is inconsistent.I never like giving a review like this and I've always found the staff at this place to be kind and courteous. I wish them all well and hope they manage to get on track.

Even though the food is delicious. The place is disgusting. Needs to be severely wiped down and cleaned. Disorganized. Cashier was not enthusiastic. They need to remove all the tables inside..so crammed in there. Boxes of drinks just open everywhere. There is grime on the equipment and machines. It's such a small place, how hard can it be to clean it and keep it clean?
I Love Mama mia’s. It’s a small family owned business and the food is great. However, I do notice a slight difference with the taste now.I became a customer in 2019. Hot Italian stallion is what I normally get. The dish would normally cost about $13 there. Every year, I noticed prices increased.. which is a loyal costumer , I didn’t mind the 75 cent- $1 increase. But I wouldn’t be able to afford it bi monthly anymore so cutting back was financially necessary ?I called yesterday to order my regular, only to find out it’s $20 a bowl now :’( and that’s not even including tax ? I canceled my order because I can just learn to make the Italian stallion if that’s the case. If I eat here, it probably would have to be once a year.I hope there isn’t another increase anytime soon.
My husband and I have only ordered from this place twice. During the first order, staff attempted to cover their mistake by adding extra vegetables to the pizza to conceal the pieces of ham they "accidentally" included without our knowledge. I am unfortunately unable to consume pork due to having stomach related issues. We recently decided to give this place another try as we believe in helping local stores/restaurants especially during this time. It took nearly 1 hour to make two 10" pizzas. One of the two pizzas did not include the additional toppings per request (and paid in advance), and in order for them to correct the error on their end, we had to exchange the pizzas. While waiting, the owner of the restaurant was unapologetic and observed throwing money at his staff yelling out loud, "Who wants this! Get your 50, get your 20." Two of the female staff were also seen making alcoholic drinks behind the counter. Mama Mia is definitely a restaurant that lacks care for its customers and reputation.
Best Italian food this side of Italy. You can't beat their Italian Stallion or lasagna. Meatballs are great to have as a protein side. My adult kids devour the fried ravioli apps. Great for catering too!
Can’t believe i just discovered this place. Can’t believe no friends or family ever told me about this place. I’m born and raised in Fresno and this is the best pizza in Fresno hands down. We got the combination; each and every piece of meat was like gourmet sliced fresh from a deli. It was unbelievable. I cant say enough.
Beat Italian good I’ve ever had, I am a traveler. Italian stallion, calazone, pizza and pastas are so satisfying and filling. I will come back over and over when I am n town here. Thank you for making great food

Today I was craving pizza, decided to go with Mama Mia, haven't had them for over 5 months. I ordered my usual Philly steak pizza, the price went up from I last remember, very pricy considering it was only a medium for $27, price jumped like $5. The pizza tasted very different, in a very disgusting way. The crust underneath was burnt. The ingredient are not fresh, the cheese was not the same, it tasted fake. Even the way they made the Philly steak was not the same, it was flavorless. Everything about this pizza was off. The crust took 1/3 of the pizza, so only 2/3 was ingredients. After tonight, I will probably never ordered here again, not for a $27 medium pizza. Better off to spend that $ on a piece of nice steak from the grocery store. Also, the ranch was not thick, it was very water down. I've never had water down ranch before, but here. What's going on?!
