I've eaten here three times.... I won't anymore, though. I went Saturday around 4 & the cashier was rude af. Unnecessarily and obnoxiously snotty. The server was nice and respectful and he made sure we had our complete order and was cool. Then.... There's a damn hair in our food. ??♀️
I really enjoy this place. Its simple and easy to order. Prices are great for the portions served. The katsu chicken is the best. Always Spicy sauces!Usually there dining area is clean and employees seem happy.

OMG was this place great! I came to Fresno for work and needed a quick place to eat and came across this restaurant. Ratings were great so I thought why not, and I'm so glad I did! The chicken katsu plate was so delicious! Its pricey but you get sooooo much for it! The was the katsu, plus rice, plus and tempura with it! And a drink! It was so much food and soooo good! Even the leftovers were good! I wish they had more locations because I am obessed!
Had Katsu chicken and riblets, teriyaki chicken, fish and rice. All very good. Wish we had one in Alpine
If you like Pete's Teriyaki, you will LOVE Kenji's Teriyaki Grill. The spicy Teriyaki sauce is a must have. I typically get the Katsu chicken plate with mixed meat (dark & white) along with tempura veggies. I highly recommend!!
Finally stopped here with the hubby for some dinner. We each ordered the katsu chicken which was really freaking good. I've been trying chicken at different teriyaki places in town and it is always dry. Not here! Chicken is juicy and crispy. The teriyaki sauce has a smoky undertone almost like BBQ. I don't believe it's katsu sauce but I didn't think to ask if they had any. Also ordered some of the spicy mayo. My husband didn't like it but I think the aoili is fire when mixed with the teriyaki sauce!They subbed steamed veggies for me which was great. I just regret not getting a side order of vegetable tempura. It looked really good and crispy and my husband refused to share. Customer service was great here. This location was extremely busy at dinner time and I was surprised the amount of people getting their orders expedited while we were there.
Got the teriyaki fries way better than anticipated they have a little kick……..Chicken teriyaki plate on point
The food was good customer service sucks !! The lady who takes the orders lack of people skills. Very RUDE and impatient.. If you think im lying look at Daniel Cordona REVIEW .. Kenji's have to do better with who they have representing their establishment.... I don't think i will ever go back !!!!!!
The food was fantastic however, the service was not! The server brought our soup, salad, appetizer and entree out all at the same time. She never even came back to remove any of our plates off of our table after we were finished eating. Weeks prior to this another fail, we ordered takeout chicken teriyaki to go and they didn't put teriyaki sauce in the bag. Come on you guys, seriously? The food is totally worth 5 stars you just need to work on your service.
