Maybe I have the wrong expectation for my quesadilla. The portion was big, but the carnitas seemed just to be shredded pork with no spices. The beans in the quesadilla didn't do anything for me. However, the avocado in the quesadilla was great. My stomach felt very heavy when I finished. Mabye some tacos with a different protein would've been better for me.
The food here is amazing. I would say this is the best Don Pepe's location in the Fresno area. Staff are always friendly, even though I get the awkward stare occasionally for being a white guy ordering Menudo. Lol. My go to spot for great Menudo! Highly recommended over other Don Pepe locations.
Best taqueria in town. The only way you're going to get better food is if your abuelita cooks for you!Pro tip: Bring your own Tupperware if you get the menudo to go. The styrofoam cups and lids won't contain that hot deliciousness for long.
You can never go wrong with tacos! ? Especially here, the added beans and Avocado ? make it different than others and that much more tastier ?? When we do dine in, the service is great and they're always very friendly. The menu is different than other Mexican restaurants and I recommend you try the tortas and shrimp cocktail ??
Either my expectations are really high or everyone else has really low standards. I was disappointed to try this place for the first time based on the positive reviews. Carne asada in my torta and burrito both lacked flavor as well as the rice. The best part of my meal was the side of refried beans. I'm better off eating at Robertitos or Arsenos where the meat tastes better and fresh
The only reason I rated a 4 because I feel everyone is capable of improving in some way. Otherwise I probably would of given them a 5. My son's enjoy their food and so do I. The Shrimp Tostada are the best with plenty of big shrimp. My son loves the Shimp with Asad burrito and looks big enough for two to eat. And the other son likes the Asada tacos. But the super nachos are great and the spicy shrimp dinners that just keep you coming back. And I have always been treated kindly. I think they are a good eat with reasonable prices. Great ? ? ? job. We'll definitely keep coming back.

Huge potions with plenty of flavor. Can’t go wrong with tacos ?. Pork chili verde and asada are a hit! Beans are optional on the tacos.
