Nothing like pizza with an attitude! Went there a few days before and got a pizza. The pizza was pretty good but the lasagna sauce was less than good, even my wife didn't like it. Order another pizza today and this one I take home. When I get there it looks completely different, and it's full of dough and very doughy because it's not fully cooked so I call up the restaurant and ask 'hi, who's cooking today'. The wife asks who it is and I asked again 'who is cooking today'' and she hangs up on me! That's really the whole conversation, I couldn't believe how rude she was. So I called back and get the owner who obviously has an attitude because you can hear it and his wife's already not answering the phone. Then when I tell him I don't appreciate being hung up on and get more flack. I don't know what kind of people normally call in there, but I called just asked a simple question because the pizza was nothing like the one I had just gotten a few days before and I just wanted to see if there was a different cook as the reason of inconsistency, and was told by the owner it wasn't. I probably would just not have come back but being hung up on when calling in was just too much not to post. I was polite and simply asked a question.
This place is great. Went for lunch with the family. Panini was AWESOME, I got the meatball one. Staff is great and very friendly, the pizza guy even came out and gave our 6 yr old some pizza dough to play with. Great place! Just an FYI they only serve beer and wine.
Haven’t been back to DiCicco’s for awhile but today decided to go. Scarface is my favorite and the freshly baked bread is so good. The place has been renovated and it is so beautiful inside and the ambience is great. The food is delicious and the service is very friendly and nice. Highly recommend this restaurant.
I have ate at this Local Chain restaurant in many places over the years in the Fresno metropolitan area. For the first time I have been disappointed. New Year's Day evening is the time of arrival around 5:00 PM. First customers of the day. Food was normal good quality and quantity. No problem here. Unfortunately, service of our meals was not normal, it was terrible. They were not prepared to serve dinner. It took in excess of 30 minutes to be served. Staffing levels were inadequate with only one waitress and bus boy each. Would I go back? Probably not at this site.
This is the worst DiCicco’s Restaurant I have been to in Fresno! I am not sure if all DiCicco’s here in the valley are under one owner or co-owned...but this location on Herndon and West is the worst! I came here 4 years ago, had a horrible experience. Today I came in and it was the same horrific experience! I am really curious to how does a business like this run operations and expect customers to return??!! The food was bland, burnt dry bread, salad had cold grilled chicken that smell foul! This experience sums it all up...NEVER RETURNING!! Taking my business and tips to both locations on Shaw Ave from now on!!This location should have signs that mention “bland pasta and burnt bread only”.
Horrible service every time we go. We know they take a long time to make the food but this time was the very worst! I would leave no stars if I could. We ordered at 6:15 and didn’t get our food until 8pm. I had to wait for 45min at restaurant as they decided to make the food once I got there. So very stupid!! There were 5 other families waiting for their food. Once ate food it was bland no taste. No more business from us which is too bad!!
Franco and Coleen have a beautiful restaurant. Our family has been frequenting their establishment since they opened and they treat us as if we are extended members of their family. Their dishes are fantastic and we always feel blessed that we have visited. If you want an intimate dining experience and you want to feel like you are receiving a home cook meal from people who care about your experience make DiCicco's West and Herndon your destination.
Omg where do i began.This place is so bad words cannot begin to describe my experience.First my soda was half carbonated water half soda.When i informed the waitress she just said oh is that why its light in color.Then she jus changed it like it was nothing.She proceeded to take my order but she was unemotional like she didnt want to be there at all.When i asked for a refill she just kind of shrugged her shoulders and refilled it.She had no kind of hospitality at all.I would not be returning to this location at all in the future.
They took a minute to seat us there was only 4 other people besides us. The young girl look like she had a attitude. The food wasn't even good I was hoping the location we were at it would be better then what it was. Every other location I've been to was great even the one in the non popular spots. Was just disappointed all around you expect better from a place like that. Will not be going back
Took over an hour to receive food after ordering, and it was bland on arrival, desert dry chicken and unsalted pasta. Waitress neglected to check on us for extended periods and we had to go find her to ask for service multiple times. Halfway through our 2 hour visit there was a shouting match in the kitchen with excessive cussing.
