The food just okay, nothing exciting. Main chef/Order taker seemed rushed. We were not asked if we wanted flour, corn or whole wheat tortillas. Be sure to ASK if you want something special. The Cashier was courteous and effective! For dine-in, you have a choice of a hard metal seats or hard wooden slabs! The rice that I was served was crunchy/hard probably from the edges of the pan. The Pinto beans were very flavorful! Also on the positive side... I will say that they have an excellent selection of drinks!! Overall okay!
I order tacos they were very good. Dinning room was dirty had to look hard for a clean table.
Finally got to try this place out. A nice alternative to my olf stand by Chipotle. Lots of different meat and sauce choices that are very flavorful. The flour tortillas are pretty thick and are taste home-made. Outside seating is a plus.
[10/10] would eat at AGAIN!!! Ben makes the most《BEAUTIFUL》Tres Leches♡♡ and I would like to announce that the Malcolm is a great addition to any employers list of ✨️employees✨️
Truly fascinating culinary experience on many levels. Fresh ingredients, but I truly believe if one of the big-tech companies developed a robot or an artificial intelligence program of what it thinks Mexican food should taste like, well Café Rio would be it. Not that I don't love getting nickle-and-dimed for salsa...I mean who doesn't in this day and age?If you’ve never had a taco in your life before you will think this is fantastic I’m sure. Or if you have and you get all giddy about fond memories of “Mexican-food” day at middle school, then head on down there.
Great tacos. Too much sour cream and guacamole. You wouldn't have to charge so much extra if you didn't use so much. It a taco lol. But overall good experience
My partner had a quesadilla with fire grilled chicken and the chicken tortilla soup. I had two enchiladas with fire grilled chicken, rice and beans. We enjoyed all the food, though my enchiladas could have been a bit warmer. We had enough left over for dinner, which was even better than lunch.
WARNING: they put WHEAT in their barbacoa. Check out their online allergy pdf. I have celiac disease and have never had an issue eating meat at restaurants or fast food places. I became extremely ill and bed ridden for two days after eating Cafe Rio's barbacoa nachos. Sure enough, on their website it lists wheat in the barbacoa. Come on, of all the ways to save a buck. Taco Bell doesn't even add wheat to their meat.
I ordered online today since I am on limited time for work lunch. I pick up my lunch & when get back to work there was a small worm in my pico de Gallo!!!! It was crawling everywhere & almost fell out my plate. I had to scoop it up & put it in of the sauce containers I received, DISGUSTING!!! Called them only for them not sound apologetic & asked if I would be eating there again, never.
Love the food here. The meats are flavorful and produce is fresh. Not to mention you get in and out pretty quickly.
