We went in search of tea set and this shop is the best.. We lovvveeed me n my frnz the collections…. Maxine was such a sweeet lady.. for sure we ll book a tea party here

This review is long overdue. I can't say enough about the staff, quality of the tea plates and the fabulous scones. It's so touching to have staff remember us and treat us like family. Charming decor and unique retail space. We've thoroughly enjoyed every visit.

This tea shop sells various tea paraphernalia and beautiful crockery of all types and range and variety. The really great part is the tea time. There are two sittings in a day. The tea is served with scones, bakery items and desert. All are made by them and served hot. The service is excellent. One can see the effort that goes into getting everything ready on time. Please call ahead to reserve the seating. Walk in not accepted usually.Highly recommended

I had very much enjoyed the high tea experience at this place 5 years ago and wanted to take my family as a special treat. I called to make reservations for 3 people on Sunday before riding on the Niles train, which is a last wish for a family member dying of cancer. I was informed by Tyme for Tea that they only have special Victorian Tea service on Sundays and we HAVE to order one service per person ($45 each). When I asked if they would accommodate our need to order only for 2 people as our 3rd person (ill member) will eat only a few nibbles, the owner declined my request stating, "We can't watch each table and who's eating. You have to order for 3 people or come back on a week day. Good-bye." Well, there may not be a next time for a dying person. There are many other welcoming places in Niles and we'll make our last wish a more pleasant experience elsewhere. Thank you!

This is my absolute favorite place to go for afternoon tea. Not only do they have great tea and scones, but their savories are so delicious! I drive almost 100 miles to get there. But it is definitely worth it!

My party of 5 were new here. We were so excited! Since our party was big we were offered the two tables in the back to choose from. Little sis we know that it would effect our service. The kitchen it to the front as the items came out we were one of the last to be served. The first tea tasted great but It wasn’t steeped prior to being served. I won’t go into to many details of what went wrong with the service however I will say that for a first time it wasn’t a lovely experience. I am grateful to the staff for serving us when they could and answering our questions.

My favorite place to have high tea. I've been to a few places in SF and the south Bay. This place has really good food, you get a lot for the price you pay. I still try other places, but this is the only place that I consistently return to.

Me and my friend we had a great time. Only thing that I don't like is you need a reservation.

Always a wonderful time. The tea is delicious and the food choices are fabulous. Highly recommend
