Personally, this place provides the best sushi for the price. The fish cuts are thick and the sashimi is served at perfect temperature (eat in my car). Definitely a stop by when you need a proper sushi fix.I saw a few recent negative comments that were unfairly written. It's COVID time, it's difficult for restaurants to revamp hiring, be more understanding. I have tried 10+ sushi places around the area, I don't think you can have better.
A rather simple Japanese family style restaurant. The ambience is no so conducive as you would see in typical Japanese restaurants. More to American style with simple setting inside. The golf is just average to my liking. All are in large size or jumbo size, ordered sushi platter and sashimi platter .. however sushi platter comes with sashimi y I think is duplicated since we have sashimi platter. The spicy tuna sushi was great and unagi sushi too.. the cut of the sashimi is in jumbo size which typically not the way the sashimi to be prepared . Sushi rice is way too much and you probably fill after 2-3 pieces. The tempura is ok as no seasoning of the prawn taste bland. Service was attentive and just an average American style Japanese restaurant.
The food is ok. Very pricey and poor packaging . Vegetarian stuff is always mixed up with non-vegetarian rolls. Happened the last three times , hence the poor rating. Given that our order costs approx $100, expect atleast a decent packaging.
Man, my wife practically lives at this place. At least once or twice a week she is there getting the seafood salad while I'm having the Bento box. Great quality sushi with good people and master chefs. When are you going to open for in-house dining again?
What a disappointment. I don't understand where the accolades come from. I tried Satomi years ago and had a bad impression of the food. I decided to try it again on Monday evening because I was craving sashimi and Aniki is closed on Mondays. I said it once before that I'll never do it again and I can caved. With renewed energy, once again, I will never come here again. We got the Satomi Signature set. The only reason why this is not a one star review is because I liked the two rolls. This is a set meant for 2-3 people to share. There's no shortage of fish or food but the fish was not good. Save yourself from eating at this so called "best sushi in Fremont" and go to Aniki. They are truly the best in the area and it baffles me that Satomi is so well reviewed. The fish quality is just sad. For the price you pay, this is not what a sushi restaurant should serve. I get it if I eat this at a sushi buffet because I get what I pay for. The Satomi Signature set is $70 and so not worth it.I would even go to SenDai in Milpitas than eat here again even though Satomi is closer to my place than Aniki or SenDai.P.S. they're take out only right now; no dine in
Delicious, order was quick, accurate and service was great!
First time customer, called in order. Easily understood and prepared in a satisfactory amount of time. Fresh ingredients. I ordered Sashimi Tuna, Salmon and smoked Eel. Unagi Roll could be a little bigger, but good experience overall. Will return and order again. Definitely recommend for others.
I guess I can consider myself a regular. A good friend of mines from Redwood City turned me on to this place back in the day. The crazy part is I live in Fremont. I've dined in once and has call in several pick up orders. Not once, have I had any complaints on their service or quality of food. Now I am a creature of habit, so I've only ordered the Mango Paradise. I always request extra ginger with my order and they oblige. The service is fast and friendly. I've yet to have a negative experience. Parking my present a challenge at times due to their location, but this is the Bay Area. It's to be expected. Give the place and see for yourself.
I ordered the 911 roll and it was pretty good and filling. It had a light kick to it that I liked… one thing to remember is that they have 2 locations in Freemont, one on money ave and the other on Thornton ave. I ended up ordering at Thornton location accidentally as I live closer to the Mowry location… i don’t remember the hostess calling out the location but I may have missed it too…
We tried both sushi and udon during our visit and the food didn't impress us. The price for our meal didn't seem like a good value either. We ordered a couple of rolls and the fish did not taste the freshest. The udon was just okay, the broth was really salty. Our meal took a while to come out and also it took a while to get our check. Maybe we came on an off day. Anyway, I found a more tasty sushi place that I am willing to travel a little bit further to get.
