I don’t write negative reviews often. This place was very disappointingThey use paper plates, plastic utensils and plastic cups. They make you go up to orderYou have to fill your own waterThe portion size is incredibly smallPrices are incredibly high. You leave with a lighter wallet and empty stomachThe seating area is surrounded by takeout boxes. This is the kind of treatment you’d expect in April 2020, but not 2022I am shocked by this experience. Either have respectable in-store dining or just don’t do it.I liked the other Sala Thai location, but wow this was a terrible experience.

Post covid update: no sit down dining but they’ve been making just as good halal Thai food. My favourite is the drunken noodles, crispy garlic fish and their yellow curries!

Sala Thai 2 is one of the best Thai spots in the East Bay (and has been for many years). The team at Sala Thai constantly delivers exceptional food and service, even as they were hit hard by the pandemic. I highly recommend the spicy garlic fish, pad kee mow, and tom yum soup with the Thai iced coffee. Please consider supporting this location ?

Due to some made up covid rules that they have instated themselves, everything is served on paper plates and take out containers. You have to pay before you eat. It is not the same as pre covid. The food is still great. Maybe take out is better.

Great food. Basil fried rice was amazing. Panang curry tasted greatDrunken noodles was too oily.Only drawback is that right now, this restaurant was serving food with takeout materials (plastic plates, forks, containers). We didn’t get it in washable plates or spoons. It would have been a better experience if we did since the food was great. Wondering if this was a post pandemic decision to cut costs.

Food was very delicious. Especially the dessert fried Banana with Vanilla Ice cream. That's my favorite one. Every time I go here I do eat it, It's a must eat and I highly recommend people who love dessert is a must try.

Food was reasonably priced, fresh and delicious

Food was tasty but the place somehow .. was not clean. I instantly felt like I am in some local street cafe in China town

Went here after a very long time and the food/service was not upto par. In the pandemic, they have started requesting order before being seated, providing individuals with paper products to eat in (probably not a bad idea). The real issue is with the cramped space to dine in and the fact that they messed up our order. Not our go to spot anymore.

This review is only for the food.Amazing vegetarian dishes.
