Family owners who are proud of their food.Food: their gravy was absolutely delicious. Authentic, as you would find in India. We can taste a bit of sourness a khadi should taste, their rotis were soft, all positives about thali. The starters we had wasn’t great, because it was cold. We knew what we were getting into though.Their rasmalai was humble yet delicious. We had ordered with the male owner. He was having food at his restaurant which was encouraging sign for us. Definitely a place to come by when you are craving for nostalgic flavors. I find reviews and responses from the owner, also shows how engaged the owners.Recommendation: keep menu simple and keep it going. Good luck!
Nice taste and good variety of curries. I got few snacks and few curries and my family loved it. Not a whole lot of seating area for big crowds. Friendly vibes.
Large parothas. But Very dry aloo paratha. No butter. Ordered 2 but could not eat due to bad parothas. Nothing special about the curry either.
One of best Indian foods I have tasted in USA, hands down!????They live up to their name, the food was indeed Saattvik which means nutritious in English. It is so good that it reminds me of my mom's cooking. Kudos to the chef uncle, well done Sir! I am now a regular at this location! Please go for it, I promise you won't regret it even for a moment. ??
Great little place right off Fremont Blvd close to Ardenwood. Love that it is pure vegetarian. Lots of great options for meals and snacks. Family run operation with the owners there most of the time - gives a vibe of an charming restaurant from a different era since the owners actually run the place. Highly recommended if you’re looking for great Indian food especially vegetarian.
Good food but extremely rude customer service. I used to get a tiffin everyday from this place until I met the female owner.I would recommend to turn around and try another vegetarian restaurant if you see the female owner. And there are plenty good vegetarian restaurants around. There is clearly no communication between the owners. The lady owner would definitely make you feel like she's doing a favor by serving you, even though you are the one paying. The male owner is the nicest though. Loved his customer service experience. All 3 stars for the good food and him.
Food is very fresh and yummy. Specially I like their paneer lababdar can’t find anywhere else in Bay Area,Amritsari choley, parantha’s, soya chaap masala to die for.but only problem my favorites are only available once a week.also, best pani puri in the bay area.staff is very helpful and nice. They’re working very hard so please come and support them and other local business.
I order food today from saattvik via uber eats . website is not updated and its misleading for customers.Their weekend special on website says paneer lababdar and today is saturday, instead of that i got other paneer curry saying paneer lababdar only available on friday. Bread pakoda not at all good, drenched with some stale oil with no taste. I ordered 4 and instead i got 3 breadpakoda and 1 samosa, now if i had to order samosa why would i order breadpakoda. I ordered pulao , instead i was given plain rice and some gravy with it . they should have canceled my order if requested item was not available or they could have just gave me refund. this is like forcing items which customer might not like to eat. Request to saattvik team: keep your website updated or else cancel order if requested item is not available ,DONOT give something else or FORCE customer to eat something else which they might not like without their consent. waste of my money!UPDATED-- @saattvik team: thanks for addressing my concern and giving my refund.
Ordered Gobhi parantha with tiny serving on feozen raita. Tea and Bread pakora.Gobhi parantha was absolutely delight just like homemade. As shown in doordash and uber eats pictures parantha not served with butter.Raita was completely frozen.Bread pakora was drenched in oil. Missing filling inside. It was not good. Very oily flavor.Tea has overpowering flavor of cinnamon. Need to be mellowed down on cinnamon.Per reviews on Google and yelp i had very high hopes.
Not good. The place is cute but food has no flavor and can actually make you sick. They leave food out and you have no idea how long it's been sitting there when they dish it out for you. There was hair in the food. Their roti is not real roti. It's roadkill. Way OVERPRICED. I don't understand how places like this are still operating. The cashier guy is a egotistical know it all. Won't be back. Nothing Saattvik about it.
