Finally we have a decent Japanese supermarket in Fremont area and I hope that they can open up another one in north Fremont/union city area. They have all the the premium meat like A5 waygu, fresh sashimi and all kinds of nigiri, sushi bowl. They have a small food court, it’s a bit pricey in my opinion, but everything is so expensive now.Oh, and you get a free ice cream cone if you buy more than $30. (Till the end of June I guess)
Awesome grocery store! Very well organized, has a great selection, and they have miscellaneous Japanese goods like cosmetics, plushies, and skin care too.Their produce and seafood can especially be on the pricey side. However, they have tons of sales on random items each week! I was lucky to grab some Calpico for only $1.Definitely a great Japanese market to check out! If you are hoping to make a homecooked meal or grab some pre-made food from their deli section, this is a great spot to stop by. They have tons of items ready-to-eat! Takoyaki, sushi, bentos, fruit sandos, onigiri, musubis, chirashi... the list goes on!
The family shopping trip to Osaka Marketplace was a fun and new experience for us. We heard of this new Japanese supermarket that took over the 99 Ranch spot in Fremont and we had to check it out. Upon entering the store, the kids were drawn to the merchandise on the right side of the store. They picked out a few clothing items and Knick Knacks. The fruits and vegetables were all fresh and we even found a pink pineapple. Since it was around noon time, the family was getting hungry so in addition to getting groceries, we picked up some prepared sushi boxes, drinks, and snacks. The only downside on this trip was the out of order bathroom towards the back. Hopefully it will be fixed the next time we are in the store. The cashier was nice and friendly and explained the club / rewards program. He said it was a paid program and it would take probably $300 or so to break even. I was joking with him because that’s not a lot as our shopping trip was already over a hundred dollars. The check out process was easy and painless. We enjoyed our lunch and snack outside of the store and continued off to finish up the shopping day.
Some great produce. Nice couple of options for japanese, korean, and chinese groceries. They have fresh sushi and on weekends seems like some sales on their bento boxes or sushi rolls. They also sell some high quality sake. Took over the old ranch 99 and has plenty of parking.
Although some items are quite $$$, but I found satisfaction while shopping there first time. I love their variety selection that I could not find elsewhere.

I am so glad this Japanese grocery store opened up in Fremont. I use to go to Mountain View to get Japanese groceries, but now i can just hop up to Fremont. The store is nice and clean, with an excellent selection of fish for sushi and sashimi. The fresh fruits and vegetable selection is also great.
A good place for Japanese groceries and food.
Absolutely the best produce around. Japanese candy selection is second to none and competitively priced. Cuts of meat are second to none in quality. Store is absolutely impecable and smells very clean. Staff is really friendly and go the extra mile to get you what you need. Highly recommend this store.
This store is not authentic Japanese (can tell by the general quality and the selection of Chinese vegetables) - better than the 99 that used to be here, as there are too many of those all over, but definitely a notch or two below a Mitsuwa or the Korean HMart (and sometimes, just as or more expensive). As this store is not close to me, if I’m gonna drive this far, I might as well go all the way down to Mitsuwa (which also has a Kinokuniya).
