Small menu. Well balanced. Every dish is made with fresh ingredients. Sticking to roots of afghan cuisine. This is not Peshawar style cuisine but more Kabul style, so authentic afghan Chapli kebab not pak-afghan Chapli. I am a regular at this restaurant just for their Chapli kebab. I order the triple kebab combo and tell them only pit Chapli. There Chapli is the reason I am rating this restaurant 5. The price are cheap compared to many other restaurants. A lot of good seating for family get together. It is a very good family restaurant. I highly recommend the kabuli pulao also. My top 3, recommended dishes are 1. Chapli kebab 2. Kabuli pulao 3. Beef Tikka kebab.
Very tasty food and generous portions.nice menu selection. Good service, too. Pleasant decor and ambiance. Only suggestion would be to deep-clean floors more frequently to remove stickiness and wipe down restroom door. That being stated, the well prepared, nicely seasoned, fresh food digested very well.it is clear why this restaurant is a local favorite.
I won’t be going back. I got there when there were only 2 table were seated and already got their food. The lady told me I need to wait for 20 mins. After 50 mins of waiting for my to-go order(1 Aush & 1 lamb kabob & 1 yogurt), the lady, who I took order with, couldn’t give me a reasonable explanation about why all the other customers came later were served with their food but I was still waiting. “ I’m just delivering the food, not working in the kitchen.” That’s her respond literally. No apologies, only “like it or not, time to pay and leave” attitude.Oh, I almost forgot I was there for food. Nothing special for $29. One star for the great sunshine I got while I was waiting outside today.(After reviewing others comments, and found out this restaurant have something like “dine-in first” policy. So ridiculous.)
The food is great. The small menu made it easy to pick from. First time having afghan food. I got the chicken and pork with the white and brown rice. Both were delicious.

The Eggplant dish and the Lamb dish are amazing. That is the best Lamb I have ever tasted! I went a year ago and it was as good today as I remembered it being. Good service, amazing food food. It is a must visit.
Super rude waiting from 3pm to order from them. I was the 3rd person in line and they said door taking 20 min it took them 1 hour and they said to go food need to wait till all seated customers get there foods. What a rude policy and cheap management. Never again. I can’t imagine how poor management for such a restaurant like that. Policy keeping me waited for 1 hour that never be done. And when I’m asking about the food they told me they have policy. Enjoy your policy.
Food is solid but service is lacking. There are a lot fewer tables inside than precovid but there are now outdoor seating available. The service was lacking because we were fairly passive aggressively rushed out towards the end of our meal. This place is better as a to-go store in my books for the foreseeable future.
It's a comfortable, charming little hole-in-the-wall. The food is awesome; it's beautifully spiced and carefully prepared. They can get crazy busy - it's a sign of their popularity and quality. But it can lead to long waits. For me, it's worth it. You'll have to decide for yourself.
