We went here for lunch. The order consisted ofFish chop: This was the only perfect thing here. The coating was thin and the potato-fish stuffing was good.Sadly it went downhill from here;Kachuri: Very oily. The pea filing was okay but the bread itself was raw in parts. Seemed like it was cooked at wrong temperature.Paratha: Same thing with this one. Very oily. Not great taste.Morog polao: There was something really off. The serve ware was too small to mix the polao and masala was accumulated in parts on the sides of the chicken quarter. The tate and flavors were very inconsistent in the single entree itself. Also the menu mentions it as "Chicken BIriyani" it is not at all a bengali biriyani or any biriyani. Please correct the menu. It is misleading.Chicken kosha: This entree was ok. It had 4 small chicken pieces. However the gravy did not taste like a kosha gravy and was more like normal chicken curry.Roshogolla: We've had roshogolla in Kolkata, India and it wasn't even remotely close.Mishti doi: Had mishti doi color but did not taste great.Disappointing experience.Ambience: Casual. Not terribly clean. Self service throughout. You need to holler when you are ready to order or need anything during your meal.Quantity: okParking: AmpleTimes visited: 1

Awesome bengali food close to Palo Alto. Me and my wife are from Kolkata and we loved the sorshe ilish, chicken kosha, kachuri, polao and the roshogolla. The roshogolla is like a rajbhog and made of nolen gur. I went on a sunday afternoon, and we had to wait quite some time after ordering, but the food was worth the wait. Ambience is not great to enjoy a dine-in but they play bangla music so that's something. Note that they don't allow dine-in after 2.30pm even though it's not mentioned in Google. I enjoyed the bengali food after a really long time. People say it's the closest to Kolkata food in the Bay area. Will definitely do a doordash soon.

Yesterday we got Morog pulav and Mutton Rezala from Bongos for our party, the food was horrible, the rice in Morog pulav was very hard, it was not fully cooked. Many of our friends and even my husband fell sick due to the food. Even the quantity of Morog pulav was very less.

If you are looking for Authentic Bengali Food in East Bay, this is the Place.Kosha Mangso, Fish Chop, Fish Kobiraji is some of their delicacly.Hope they start Dine in soon.

Dishonest service and rude behavior by the girl at reception! We went to Bongos yesterday at 8:30pm and ordered few things from the menu at the restaurant. Sometimes later my wife found out that the prices were high by ~30%. Then i went to the restaurant and asked for the detailed receipt. The girl at the server said the menu price is outdated. I was confused how come the menu price is wrong. I asked how would people order? At that she replied, "PEOPLE DON'T COMPLAIN ABOUT 2-3$!" This was totally unprofessional. It was not about money, it was about honesty. The restaurant menu price was jacked up without the customer knowing, we had enough ground to complain to consumer service bureau there. And she is belittling us that we care about 2-3$! She is the one living off by stealing 2-3$ from every customers.

Food was alright but our portions were insanely small for the $14/dish we paid. They mixed up our goat with chicken

Rosogulla must eat item, though they increased the price. I had misti doi, though i am not a fan but its good. Muglai parota- good because you dont get it everywhere, but can be improved. Biryani was ok, very less spices. Fish was also good.

It's a Bengali food joint. It does the job decently well considering options you have here. However for a person from Kolkata, its way far from meeting expectations. However do try their sorse ilish and morog polau.

Extremely disappointed about this restaurant. Food is just below average with very high price. Ordered mughlai paratha. After opening the packet we saw it was burned outside and undercooked inside. Also the meat curry had smell like full of raw turmeric. The lady Julie has a rude attitude.

Probably the best and the most authentic Biriyani one can get in the Bay Area! This Bangladeshi restaurant is definitely a class apart.
