First time here and it was enjoyable. Don’t judge a book by its cover. The food was great. I’ll be back!!!
I’m giving 3stars it would have been 5 but it was only 1oclock in the afternoon on Mother’s Day, no prime rib they said they already ran out ??then they were already out of the lemon drop cheese cake????oh & no more mimosas OB MOTHERS DAY Who runs out of mimosas on Mother’s Day? the food we ordered was great it took a little longer than usual but I guess that’s due to it being a packed house, our server was attentive but still no mimosas ? I had to come home and make my own LOL

My mom and I came here today and ordered the Joe's hobo omelet. We love our hashbrowns crispy and even though we sent them back to get that crispness we love our server Hector was the best! He was busy serving other tables but still managed to be very patient, attentive and a pleasant attitude. His service showed that he loves his job and enjoys working with people.
I am always impressed with Black Bear Diner and this location is no different the food is so good the service is awesome and I walked away being so satisfied with my experience at Black Bear Diner they do a great job
I can honestly say this has been the best breakfast I have had at a restaurant. The waitress was really nice and attentive. The food was really good and you get alot of it. Good job guys keep up the good work you all are awesome ???
Burger was really good? fries were ok, if I don't have them, will try something different. My GODMOTHER enjoyed her meal, tri tip, eggs, country potatoes ?, biscuit ?. Was worth $. Server's were great??
I understand that this location is understaffed and are doing their best to keep things running, but do you get trained to ignore customers waiting to place their order and hopefully receive their meal correctly? The rudeness of three female hispanic servers in general. If you request a refill or any condiments or utensils heaven forbid because they will give you the look that kills and never return with what you asked for. Did I offend you in another life? I have visited this location or should I say I have given this location several chances and it always is the same. We have to wait forever for a coffee refill, our orders are always made incorrectly and the staff are extremely rude. But the funny part is that they bend over backwards for the regulars that come in to eat all of the time.. Not good Black Bear .I will not be visitingthis restaurant in particular ever again. The management needs to retrain the staff and teach them some people skills. Ift they are not happy with their job maybe they should go and find another place to work.
I went here on a busy morning, so decided to take out food rather than waiting for us to be seated.I placed the order with waitress at the counter and she wrote it down correctly on the paper. But, when she continued to put it on the computer, it’s completely messed up. Trust me, everything was placed wrongly, I didn’t have any modifications to the order, everything was straight out of the menu. So, it’s not even complicated. I looked at the receipt and told them it was not correct. It took me 20 minutes to explain what’s wrong with the order and place it correctly. The manager said it’s going to be corrected. But, I didn’t see the waitress or the manager doing anything about it.They charged me as I already had food at the diner, and the order never even went to the kitchen.I waited 35 minutes trying to contact as my food Never came out of the kitchen, I got fed up at this point. That’s when the manager comes out again and when I ask him about the food, he says the kitchen is busy and I can cancel the order.Such a waste of time and energy. Absolutely unprofessional behavior.
Food was good with large portions. Service was slow but that is understandable with the holidays and Covid. My only complaint is the biscuits are not nearly as good as I have had at other Black Bear Diners in the Bay Area. Maybe they changed the recipe, don't know. Otherwise, the food was pretty tasty. Miss the biscuits though!
