AMAZING. simply amazing. The staff is so friendly. The food is unbelievably good ???. But be prepared to wait. People start lining up an hour before the restaurant is even open. Including my husband and I. We bring a chair and chill for an hour because the food is THAT FREAKING GOOD. you will not be disappointed. The quality is top tier ? ? ?
Whenever the hubby wants to splurge and have a guaranteed good meal, we go to Tsuruhashi. I advise to get there right at 5pm because the place gets PACKED every single day. The kimchi fried rice, egg soup and all the kobe steak cuts are the highlights on the menu. But you really can't go wrong with anything here. Manager and staff are super friendly.
For sure one of my top 3 favorite Japanese grills in the states! Especially the wagyu and raw beef. We went from dtla to OC for this for so many times. Remember to get there early, or you will need to wait for more than an hour.
Excellent! A friend brought me here to introduce me to yakiniku. I don't think I could ask for a better introduction. It likely spoiled me for all others. The meat was all very high quality. We had beef tongue, ribeye, short rib, and outside skirt steak. Also a noodle bowl and soup to go with it. All were wonderful.The restaurant itself is small, and fairly cramped, and it was fairly loud, but the food was the important part and I couldn't ask for better. I'll happily come back.
It's always a favorite of my husband's. We always ordered the skirt steaks. Usually if we're in the mood we would get pork belly and sausages like tonight. The beef quality is consistently top notch. Just be ready to wait for an hour or two if you come past 6:30 on weekends. We came right around 5:40 and seated within 20 minutes.
Love their Prime cube cut and their Premium beef tongue! Beef tail soup is great, a bit salty for my taste, and they have surprisingly good Kimchi Fried Rice. Best Japanese BBQ for now! ็่งis not even close.
I don't gie 5 stars out but this place is amazing. The food was amazing, the service was on point but the only issue is the typical wait.....and that can be lengthy. The place is small so get there early or be prepared to wait but it is worth.
Go Only If you are looking for excellent Japanese barbecue and have extra money for the month to splurge ?? ... the meat is amazing and the service they have is spot on. The only complaint I have is you have to pay for side dishes such as kimchi, rice and vegetables which normally should come standard with your meals. Rectify this problem on the menu then they would earn 5 stars from me

This place is popular, we went half an hour before their dinner opening on a weekday and the line quickly grew. Was seated shortly after 5pm. Ordered a variety of wagyu snd seafood to grill. Everything was super good and enjoyable. Look forward to returning.
