The asada was bland but there al pastor was great. The corn tortillas fell apart easily so you where scooping the meat rather then taking a bite. Also may I suggest using a grill and some oil to add crunch to the fresh tortillas. Other then that I'd still come here to eat again as it's one of the better tacos in HB
Right on the border of Hunting Beach and Fountain Valley is Tio Flaco's Tacos . This trip I had two Al Pastor, Two Carnitas, and one Carne Asada Tacos. Tortillas and Salsas are Hand made fresh in-house . No Templeton sightings though ?.
Poor attitide from the guy at the counter when trying to pickup uber eats order. He could not multi task or even let me know if the order was ready. Def not able to manage the orders they are getting so i cancelled the order because I dont need to have my other customers waiting longer for their food. Good luck being as slow and unhelpful as you are. There are better places to get tacos and not have to be told to wait when the guy at the counter is literally doing nothing while a customer finishes paying. Its called multi task!
If you want an extremely white version of a burrito or taco then this is the place for you. Ordered a burrito with everything inside and it was probably the worst burrito I have had in my life. It was extremely dry and tasteless. On top of that, their green salsa was straight garbage and tasted nothing like salsa.Don’t fall for the hype around this place or the good reviews.
Sadly this will be our last meal with Tio Flaco; the food was sub-par and not nearly as good in years previous. Taco salad was bagged cut Romaine, sprinkled with plain grilled ,shredded chicken and a dabbling of cheddar cheese; that’s it. Very disappointing. Adios, Tio.
the size of the tacos is just perfect. i tried out all 4 types of tacos and crazy hot salsa and every thing was delicious and the salsa was “crazy hot” and tasty.beans and rice are reasonably good as expected.
Service was good. Taco salad was very good, carnitas tacos were great. Refried beans and rice were very bland, a disappointment considering the previous times there, everything was great.
Tortillas were barely heated up. Chicken was shredded meat with no flavor. Drinks were watered down. Salsa barely had any flavor. Not authentic at all. Step it up if you're going to have those prices.

The reviews of this place really set my expectations high only to be let down. Tacos were cheap on Tuesday which is a good thing because the meat on the tacos wasn’t as great as people described in other reviews. The guacamole portion was generous and tasted good. The salsa was very spicy. Love the mascot Tio!
