Came Monday with a ladies group. Disorganized service but food ok. Brought my daughter today. OMG. Party in back room PACKED; VERY LOUD music. Their children sceaming and running races throughout the entire restaurant. Then the cook decided to bang on the grill--cleaning it perhaps? Again, food ok. Just not worth it.
I was picking up for a delivery app on Sunday April 17 at 5:00 pm. Both an employee and a manager greeted me and viewed my app delivery on my phone. They took 15 minutes to look for the order. When they realized that they had missed the order they told me that they just weren’t taking delivery app orders today but that I could pay for the order myself and deliver the order. I told them that’s not how it works, if it comes through on my phone then the customer has paid for it. The employee insisted that I could still pay for it with my money and get the customer to pay it back. The manger agreed with this. This is the most fraud I have ever encountered in any restaurant. I’ve witnessed some shady stuff in my deliveries but this takes the whole cake. I looked the manager in the eye and reminded him that the customer pays with their card online and that I didn’t need to pay. He said that since they do not take delivery orders on busy days that I could still choose to pay with my own money and just get reimbursed. Fraud. Absolute scam. I reported them to my delivery app and I’m reporting this here and online to the drivers beware list. That is the most shade I have ever witnessed.
It's quite expensive. The pizza was good, but misleading. It said "Mesquite BBQ", but they didn't specify that you had to get the actual barbeque sauce on the SIDE for it to a c t u a l l y be BBQ flavored. Also the brownie was chalky. The service was good though, very attentive servers. Also the cookies are ROCKS. Besides that, not bad.
Got the family meal of Tri-Tip medium rare, with garden salad, garlic mashed potatoes, bread sticks, cole slaw and roasted cauliflower. Tri-Tip was cooked perfect, juicy and tender. Garden salad was more like a chop salad which i don't care for personally. Family liked it. Garlic mashed potatoes were ok they needed more butter and garlic. They were very dry and didn't taste the garlic. Cole slaw was a oil base which i never had before , I'm use to the mayo creamy style. But it was good. Bread sticks were so so, I've had better they were dry also, when dipped in ranch dressing they were better. Cauliflower was great. They do give you a good amount of food.
Very tasty food. Affordable prices! Great spot to eat with the family.
I had family in from the mid West. Excited to bring them to Stonefire Grill. There were 3 in our party. They brought 2 of our dinners out. We were waiting on a sandwich and mac n cheese, so we waited to eat. Took about another 15-20 minutes. Our food was cold by then. Have always had hood experiences here. Maybe an off night? But it was mid week and later and not busy.
Went here for dinner with friends on 01/28/22.Here's the low down:The BBQ has great flavor. I was disappointed to find them out of ribs at 6:00pm on a Friday night. The sides on the other hand are bland. If you like seasoning in your food, don't go here or bring your own seasoning. The staff looked absolutely confused when we asked them to bring us some of the rub that they used on the tri-tip to put on the mac and cheese-- one of them sent us to the salt/pepper by the napkins and another came back with another ball of cheese. Warning: the portions are huge. Order family style. Staff is friendly enough, if not super sharp (how hard is it to bring us the rub from your kitchen?) and the ambiance is nice, everything looks clean. Bathroom was out of toilet paper which contributes to minus one star in my rating.
I went to the Fountain Valley location. I wanted to like my meal. The tri-tip was the worst beef I have ever eaten in my life. It had a silver skin running through every piece. It was completely inedible. The potatoes were crusty. Every bite was like I got the edges of a baking pan that was a week old.My salad had rotten lettuce. I have more money on a gift card. Needless to say that I won't be using it because the meal was an awful experience.
Coyoti and Nathan are the 2 main reasons I keep coming back to this location. I mean the food is pretty amazing too. Coyoti’s leadership shows in how his staff works effortlessly to complete their tasks.Nathan was my little 4 year old princess’s hero last month when she had an accident. She had busted her lip not paying attention to where she was going.I ran inside the restaurant in a frantic mess asking anyone if they could help us. Nathan didn’t hesitate and jumped into action. Nathan if you’re reading this (especially your parents) I wanna say that your parents have done a “FINE” job raising you, and they should be proud of the man you’re becoming.
Mediocre is the perfect way to describe the food, or at least the meal I ordered. The ribs were mediocre, the BBQ chicken was mediocre, the garlic mash potatoes were mediocre, and the beans were mediocre. They were very stingy with the BBQ sauce as both my ribs and chicken had little to no BBQ sauce on them and I didn't see a condiment station where extra BBQ sauce might have been available. Nothing was particularly nasty but nothing was good other than the garlic breadsticks. They do sell pizza which looked like it might be good but for sure I'll never come back to Stonefire Grill for their BBQ ever again.
