Sorry, I didn't get pics of the adult kid in line wearing water wings, or the old man in front of him wearing a pokemon shirt and I think a whistle around his neck. I rarely go to Starbucks so I guess I didn't realize that it's turned into a Walmart after shopping destination. ??♂️. I rarely go to Starbucks because I think it's asenine to wait 15 to 20 mins for a cup of [way over priced] coffee. My daughter dragged me in here, she likes this place. Kudos to Starbucks for catering to the Millennials. More of them than us I guess.
The whole reason why we pay so much for Starbucks is that they make it exactly the way we want it, am I right? This location on Ellis & Brookhurst really let me down. I visited on a Monday afternoon about 1:45 pm. It was not busy. I ordered a Venti caramel ribbon crunch Frappuccino divided between 2 cups, so I could share with my husband. That has been my usual order for several years at different locations. This was my first visit to this location. The cashier took my payment and a moment later, the barista told me that he could not split it for me. He said he could give me the cups so I could divide it myself. Messy! I told him that I have been ordering it this way for years at many different locations and they have no problem accommodating me. I did split it up between 2 other cups but it was a mess. The caramel was left behind in the cup and no more yummy whipped cream and crunchy bits on top. What a disappointment! When you pay almost $6 for a coffee drink, you should be able to get it the way I want it. Maybe I should have opted for McDonalds?

Kids hot chocolate should be 8 oz in an 8 oz cup but only fills it about 6 oz and the rest whipped cream. I asked for a full cup of hot chocolate and was offered more milk in it. Not good.

We've been to this Starbucks at least 4 times in the past 3 - 4 weeks, different times in the afternoon and early evening, and they were closed or closing Every. Single.Time. Like locking the door when they see people walk up closed. Very rude and disappointing! We thought it was just a one time incident, but it surely is not when it happened repeatedly. We've liked this Starbucks and frequented it many times over the years. I CANNOT believe how rude and inconsistent they are with their operating hours. They really don't appreciate having any business, not do they appreciate their customers the way they used to. Maybe they need to close this one down?
