Wow, never again.....""EVER"" I Came here with my Family for a Father's Day Breakfast. The only thing that was actually good was the Coffee. I had the Eggs Benedict Florentine (Spinach) and Corned Beef Hash on The Side. It appears (Like The Other photo) showing Eggs Benedict (just two months ago) Those Pretty Skillet Cooked Potatoes w Some Parsley Flakes Are **NO MORE** Now You Get Nasty, Super Greasy Deep Fried Potato Chunks. I complained to the waiter asking / stating they are not good and just plain terrible. I asked for "Hash Browns" as a Replacement. He apologized and saID "Sorry That's What You Get" we don't Do Hash Browns. They take too long to Make in the kitchen. The Eggs Benedict I was served Looked Honestly Unappetizing to say the least **NOTHING** Like the picture from Two Months Ago., In That Picture they looked pretty good. I ordered something to go to Take to my Dad who could not leave the house from recovering from recent surgery **Please Note** an Omelet is made (One Way), Meaning you scramble some eggs in a bowl then pour them into a pan ""Having your Filling Ingredients Already Cooked ""OR READY"" You add the "Filling Ingredients" to the egg pancake in the skillet then **FOLD OVER THE EGG BLANKET** That Is An Omelet. Well I ordered The ""Bacon, Ham and Sausage Omelet" they brought it in a To-Go Box, I Paid and Left. **The Picture of The To-Go Plate is Shown Here. Apparently **They Toss Some Eggs In a Hot Pan Scramble Them Then Toss In Everything Else **Scramble** and It Forms a Egg Brick Type Mixture **SEE REAL PICTURE** When I opened it To My Father His Statement Was ""WHAT THE HELL IS THAT"" That's Not What I Asked For and It Looks Terrible** I Looked At The Scrambled Brick Mess and Was Very Upset. **NOTE** I actually Called The Manager and Stated " I Am Sorry That's What and How The Culinary Manager Wants The "'Omelet" Prepared. My Statement Was Simple and To The Point. ""Im Sorry Thats Not An Omelet ""Thats A Scramble"" Your Culinary Manager Should ""TRY TO SERVE THIS TO CHEF RAMSEY ""AND WAIT TO SEE WHAT HE SAYS THIS IS""???I want everyone to know, I am a very decent, kind, flexible caring Human Being. I say that because I know my heart. I have prepared thousands of incredible omelets in my lifetime because i'm Old School from a Real Sicilian Family That Came To Brooklyn NY after World War 2. ""I Love To Cook"" when I Can it runs in the Blood and The Family. What I opened in That Box ""IS NOT AN OMELET"" and for the "Culinary Manager To Say That's How He Wants It Done Speaks ""Volumes"" That is Just Straight Up ""Lazy and Fast"" It Makes for Quick Serving And Nothing More. Not to say the Least of Presentation of A Food Item. ""DON'T SHOW ME A MENU THATS SAYS ""OMELET"" Because It Certainly **IS NOT AN OMELET** It's A Scrambled Mess ***I will Never, Ever Come Back and Neither Will Anyone From Our Families because They All were Asked To Read This Review. Now Here is A Revelation** I went Online and Looked At Their Menu for Brookhurst / Huntington Beach Location. Now Just Take A Look At What They Show You A "Real Omelet" Looks Like...Attached ""Wow"" I would Have Been Happy With That ""Real Omelet""
The 5 stars is for the excellent service we got from our server, Eric! He was so attentive, ensured we got everything we needed, & our orders were perfect! You can tell he really cares about his job & making sure his customers are taken care of!We split the eggs benedict, & it was good! We also split a side of cinnamon French toast, but it wasn't that great, it was a little too hard/dense & felt it should be more soft. All in all, the staff was great, eggs benedict was great, parking is right there by door, & I recommend u check it out!
Always my favorite place for breakfastBenedict eggs is one of the best plateWith fresh orange juiceThe restaurant always open earlyPrepared and always clean
Went out for a quick breakfast date with the mom and we had a great time at here! Our server, William, was super helpful giving us recommendations while staying on top of coffee refills and touching base with us when needed. We recommend and will definitely be back in the future.
Good food. Good service I just found them to be a little pricey. Around 40 bucks for 2 breakfast and soda
Very poor service… if I could give zero stars I would. When I got there with my family we were asked how many would be seated but were only given utensils for 2 people… condiments were also not at the table. When we were about to leave she only checked us out but never brought back the receipt. It’s nice to be greeted and feel welcomed but we were treated like we didn’t belong there. We weren’t checked to see how are dining experience was or if we needed anything. Will no longer be coming back!
This is my favorite place for comfort food whether main course or dessert. Fun and healthy menu with something delicious and creative for every taste. I have enjoyed hundreds of meals at a Mimi's restaurant since 1991. I have enjoyed friendly service at a dozen locations.
Nice waiter, went out to brunch type thing because of the time of day. Everything is as expected with eggs Benedict, my dad ate all his pot pie. Kinda wished I had a extra dt coke, but we were having personal discussions about family.
Busy Thanksgiving Day dinner was a great experience and a safe environment. The manager was very helpful seating my aging mother using a walker and it was very much appreciated. Service was excellent on the busy holiday with the meal served hot and promptly. Love this neighborhood restaurant!
It's a Mimi so food was what you would expect, tastey moderate portions. We practically had the restaurant to ourselves ,but it was between lunch and dinner hours...
