Mixed feeling about this place. Have been wanting to try Brodard for a long time and traveled 2 hour rountrip and sadly, it wasn’t worth it. Biggest disappointment is that our order was wrong, they put the wrong spring rolls in and we found HAIR in our food.Food - food was decent but definitely not the best Vietnamese food I have had. The spring rolls were good but nothing extraordinary. Pork spring roll was better than the shrimp. The noodle and rice were good but also average. The desserts were the best part. The taro cup and lychee pana cotta were tiny, a few bites, but had good flavor.Price - expensive for the portion. Vietnamese food to me usually has a lot of value, it’s big portion for the price or just plain affordable. Here, as of June 2022, each spring roll is $3-4 but they are thin. Pork Vermicelli was $18, steak with rice was $2x, small taro dessert is $5 and even smaller lychee pana cotta was $4. Sauces are extra which is disappointing because if we dined in, we may have been able to get extra sauce. I would have hoped the portions were bigger and generally, eating appetizer, main course and dessert makes me overly full but here, with takeout, it was just filling.Service - service was good and there were a lot of employees who worked fast and were attentive.Cleanliness - found hair in our steak and rice dish (see photo), it almost looked like pubic hair so appetite was lost instantaneously. Had a really bad stomachache after eating the pork vermicelli. The restaurant overall looked clean. Didn’t use the restroom so not sure how clean it is.Convenience - A lot of free parking around and in a big plaza location. A lot of other food and dessert places in the same plaza. Not sure if Id try again. Unsure about the raving reviews as there are many great Vietnamese places in SoCal.
Absolutely amazing brunch!!!! The spring rolls are to die for! I would eat 50 plates of those if I could. We tried a bunch of different plates and all were very well seasoned and well proportioned.Be sure to get here before 11am on weekends because there’s a long line after that.
Quick SummaryThe signature Vietnamese restaurant in Orange County. Pretty good Vietnamese food and solid/fast service. Easy parking in the large plaza. Bar seating is available to reduce the wait if neededFood- 5 starsPretty solid Vietnamese food. It's lighter on garlic and grease than most spots. The spring rolls are the signature dish and they were pretty good (I prefer the garlic and grease of Summer Rolls in the SGV, but these were pretty good too). Ordered the lunar shrimp cakes, fried rice, shaken beef salad, and the Brodard's Special. Everything was pretty good. I wouldn't recommend to come out of your way to go here, but it's pretty solid Vietnamese food for an affordable priceService- 5 starsTheir workflow is pretty optimized. Pretty fast in and outBottom LineThe Vietnamese food is pretty solid and worth the reputation. I wouldn't drive out of your way to come here, but will always get a good meal at Brodard
Very famous Vietnamese/ French style restaurant in Westminster (Little Saigon). Always very busy and you should expect some wait time. The spring rolls are very good; we tried all different flavors and liked the soft shell crab and the BBQ pork one the most. All other plates were also very good. Lots of people also choose to order to go, especially the spring rolls (sort of cold plate so they still taste pretty much the same even if they get cold after 10-20 minutes).
Nem nướng ngon, nhưng các món khác thì tàm tạm. Nhân viên phục vụ rất tệ, ko quan sát thực khách xem họ cần gì, mình phải hô lên mới có bạn nhân viên tới.
We're in town for my brother's birthday. Decided to go into a little Saigon and try this new restaurant the girls looked up on social media. Pretty solid food lots of variety and the place was fairly packed with Vietnamese people and a Vietnamese restaurant so that's usually a good sign that it's authentic food! Would definitely recommend any family looking for some Vietnamese food to try this joint out!
Good food and convenience
The spring rolls and the sauce is out of control, so good. The texture is crunchy and the flavor is amazing. Everything else is okay, just a filler for the spring rolls.
I am basically a regular and I have also introduced this spot to friends, family, and acquaintances. My most recent visit was yesterday for dinner. I am a fan of their house fried rice and their grilled pork spring rolls( I'm not a pork person but these rolls are the bomb).Their customer service has been great and the interior is always clean along with their restrooms( based on my frequent trips this far). The Peach tea is so refreshing and isn't too sweet and it also has Peach bits.
We did not known this place was so popular. We waited for a while and wait led more to get our food. One good thing about living in SoCal is that there are so many different Cuisines available. Love it. Spring rolls were good. They all came with different dipping sauces. My favorite was the one with washabi. Then this spicy beef noodle soup. It was my kind of soup. Broth was good. My daughter and I drank it all. We realized that we made a mistake when we ordered Spring Rolls. Do not order simple Spring Rolls like the long spring rolls we had. I think it was shrimp and chicken. Order somethings that are hard to make at home. It was our first time, and we definitely plan to come back and explore more.
