This place is a pretty much ma and pop restaurant I've been going here with my family for 20 years now, in fact I usto work here during my senior year in High school lol. The food has always been great and satisfying so I do recommend. The only thing they sure need to do is change the carpet like literally they need to update that old dirty rug ?
We have loved going to Sun Downers over the years. It has been a while since we've been there. We had the steak & lemon chicken, which I highly recommend. The steak is cooked so tender, it can almost melt in your mouth. We have never had a bad experience there. It is very reasonable, pricewise, so it's a treat to bring your family. All the employees are so sweet, we appreciate their service. If you go you will not be disappointed. Rebecca Freeman
Bad diner food. Order your steak any way you want it, you're going to get it well done. Every single employee I interacted with was rude. Ordered baked potato with butter, sour cream and chives, got plain bagel potato. Asked for the butter, sour cream and chives at the pickup counter and the guy at the counter looked at me like I was speaking a language he didn't understand and went back to what he was doing. Also, advertised price are not available when you go to order. Hard to imagine why people go back to this place.
This place seems like a good idea (Sizzler’s vibe) but in reality it’s not due to a few factors.It’s overpriced. Lunch prices between $15-$20 for one person. Lots of nickel & dime-ing for refills, etc.The food isn’t great, just okay quality. Spitting out fat the whole way through meatloaf and ribs. Comparable to at home microwave meals.Kind’ve low class atmosphere.With a just some changes in better quality to food and actually being more giving as they advertise, this place can actually become a good restaurant with a great dining experience.
Very disappointed in this place. Horrible service the lady at the front line where you order was rude and not nice at all. They added a salad to our food and later said we needed to return(their mistake) and we had already started eating so they charged us. We ordered Onion rings and they gave us buffalo wings. The food was not good over cooked and hard. Do not recommend.
Good food and a positive way with the family of God
The food is delicious the experience is awesome every time I've eaten there I felt comfortable because it's a place where you can relax talk and Grub.
Horrible food every thing tasted water down. I feel horrible for inviting my family there. The prices have gone up and the quality of the food has gone down.
My French dip was too salty and the Dr. Pepper was watered down. After a few bites, I was done. My dog enjoyed it.
I always have loved coming here, the food is cheaper than your average restaurant but just as good. It's like cafeteria style, so you order your food, grab a tray, get your soup or salad, then a drink and if you want a dessert you can get one as well then you pay. You seat yourself and wait for your number to be called. I enjoy their salad, because the ranch is so good and I like the mini croutons and my favorite meal here is the steak and Monterey chicken. Any time I'm down the hill this is my go to spot
