I wanted to share the exceptional experience I had today with a 17 year old employee named Jason. After leaving the gym at Shady Trails, I went to Hawaiian Ono to pick up a combo platter to go. After placing my order, I reached from my wallet and realized it was not in my pocket. I immediately remembered that I left it on top of the treadmill at the gym and exclaimed to myself, “oh no, my wallet”. Jason, who had just taken my order, reached for his left rear pocket while simultaneously saying, “that’s ok, I’ll pay for your food.” When I told Jason that I really needed to get my wallet, he again said, “that’s OK, I will pay for your food”. I told Jason I did not have time to explain and immediately ran out of the restaurant and hurried back to the gym where fortunately my wallet was still where I forgot it on top of the treadmill. I returned to the restaurant where Jason had my food order bagged and ready for me to pick up. I told Jason I was immensely impressed with his kind gesture of offering to pay for my food. I told him I would be giving them a great review at which point I found out that he is not only a very kind young man but also very modest. Jason asked me to please not use his last name in anything I posted. I really hope Jason‘s bosses as well as his parents see this review. His parents have really raised a fine young man.
Employees were super sweet but the food was kinda old and the Spam Masubi was poorly wrapped so everything was falling out. Ono is still one of my favorite places to eat but I think I'll keep going to the upland one instead.
The food was fine and staff are reasonably friendly, but management needs to improve the workflow, particularly at the front counter. We typically order on-line, so the pickup process should be quick. However, on several occasions there was only one person at the counter handling both walk-ins and phone orders. Too busy to even had-off a completed order that say on the back counter for approx. 10 min. At least push the phone orders to another person; possibly a remote worker who can facilitate the on-line transaction for callers.
I was helped by Laura and she was very polite with helping me with my order. She was patient and one of the best customer service person that took my order. You don't usually come around people so sweet as she was.
Food is good why I went back. The place is very dirty, the floors are disgusting. The management should be ashamed. The cashier was very friendly ?
Food is good, but MAN they are so slow here. I'm talking about 40 minutes after your order is supposed to be done slow. You call in your put on hold and then hung up on after 10 minutes. Other locations service is way better. Good food though!
This location has gone down the tubes. I order from here tonight. One chicken order had a hair in it, two of my chicken orders the chicken was under cooked. They didn't get my order right. I will not go back to this location again.!!
Food is good. Cooks don't always pay attention to the order. I have been there several times and had to have the remake things because they don't look at the order correctly.
Always a winner, and the portions are huge. The #3 combo (chicken katsu & bbq chicken) is enough food for 3 meals for me. Only the teenage boys ate the whole portion. I always get extra macaroni salad, so I don't have to ration the single scoop when eating leftovers.
