The food is actually good if you don’t have the time to cook it yourself, I want to be clear that I am black and that I support black business but when do we talk about the lack of customer service and common sense when it comes to some of the businesses!!! If the sign says open then a consumer will assume it’s open!!!! I walked in 5 minutes I guess before it’s supposed to be open keep the doors locked instead of telling customers to leave and wait the sign said OPEN!!!!!!Perhaps you should have the men in the back working in the front as well because they actually greet you and act as if they want your business. The two black women the table wiper and the cashier could have better attitudes and since they are the two first people you see they should greet as well.And since you have to pay for all of your condiments they don’t even give you one for purchasing a meal I suggest you skip on tipping so you can pay for condiments.

Ok, last time I had this place I was not impressed...but this time the food was good greens fire, Mac good, and the shrimp bomb the fish was a little dry I had Snapper. I also got the chicken and of course that was bomb. I was happy that they didn't use the same grease to fry both chicken and fish. I'll be back!
Went for the first time with my husband and got the 8 piece chicken and fries combo and I have to say it was mmmm!!! Bomb!!! Lol im going back again today to try the red snapper. I love the customer service and its nice to see a black owned business!!! Before you even walk in the door you can smell the food from afar. All the food look good and the chicken with that hot sauce they got! Man let me just say this GO!!! Go get you something to eat here you won't regret it...they added another faithful customer
Had fried chicken, red beans and rice, and mac & cheese. All were great! Chicken just a little spicy (loved it). Very friendly service! Remember that fried chicken takes a few minutes to prepare. Order on line or by phone if you don't want to hang out.
AMAZING..... It was authentic Cajun food. That flavor was beyond what I was expecting. I had the gumbo with shrimp, 5 piece meal with Mac as the side, and an order of fried shrimp. There's nothing that I would change. I will be going back for the simple fact that their food came piping hot, the way all foods should be served, especially at a restaurant. So for those who can't wait for a home cooked meal, there's plenty of subpar chicken joints waiting to take your money in return for their inadequate food/service.
Every item I've ordered is excellent! Red Snapper, fried chicken, red beans and rice, mac and cheese, shrimp, the greens (yum, yum), the hush puppies and the french fries are superb! Prices are fair and service is good. A great place to go if you like good food! RDI
Everything tasted recooked . Mac and cheese was super soggy and greasy , the greens was alright though and the shrimp had hella batter and was very salty . I dont exactly recommend but I do think their food may be good when made fresh . I give it a 7 outta 10 . I went off the reviews when deciding to eat here , very misleading lol
I loved the catfish and omg the mac&cheese was bomb. Only thing I saw online there was yams and that’s what got me excited but once I got there it was off the menu . Other than that I will be returning and bringing friends!
I walk in and the chef from way back greets me which caught me off guard but BOH's hospitality is an example more restaurants should follow. The atmosphere is very inviting except my experience is during a pandemic so the order was to go. A total of 24 minutes passed to collect my order which the chef sincerely apologized for. I ordered the Red Snapper Fish plate which was FRESH so that 24 minute sting didn't hurt so much. The price to portion is very fair so expect leftovers. So my advice, order ahead! Besides that the cashier was kinda aloof & I had to wait for her to hang up her non-business phone call to order. All in all I will be a returning customer and I can't wait to try that gumbo next time!!! Good job guys ??
