Very tasty food and friendly staff. Can ask for varying levels of spice. They were willing to make the papaya salad vegan for us. Large servings. Tastes authentic
The food was so delicious, every dish we ordered was very flavorful and satisfying. Staff was friendly and prompt. I highly recommend you give The River a try if you already like Thai food or if you are new to Thai food and want to ensure that you won't be disappointed.
Love their food. It's one of the best Thai Restaurants around Folsom which is not too commercialized. They still have their 'Mom and Pop' touch. We adore their curries which has perfect balance of taste and spice. They have variety of options including great Lunch Combos to choose from. Not too pricy.
Ordered our dish with chicken and fried pot stickers as an appetizer. Was never asked if we wanted a drink and when we did they only had iced tea, lemonade, beer and wine. Waiter then asked from across the room if we wanted meat in our dish which we already told him when we ordered. Pot stickers arrived NOT fried with our lunch which was completely tasteless and void of any garlic. The water was horrible and we finally went up to pay since the waiter was too busy streaming on his TV to check on us. We won't be back.
One of my favorite Thai restaurants in this area. The tom yum soup, spicy fried rice, and papaya salad are especially great. Do be aware that they can really turn up the spice, even more so than other Thai restaurants.

Ordered Tom Yum soup and Papaya Salad for pick up.The vegetables in the soup were all fresh and tasted great. The papaya salad was also freshly prepared. It takes 45 min to make this salad, this delay is something to keep in mind when ordering this dish.Also the spice level is pretty high compared to other thai restaurants in the area. I would go a notch down on spice level here.The packaging was also very good. It would be even better if there was an option to use a greener container.

We like a lot eating out. Yesterday we found this magnificent restaurant which we didn’t know before. We had a beautiful experience there with great dishes and a well-trained team and a great cuisine. We added this fine restaurant in our list and we will no doubt go again very soon. We warmly recommend.
We met with friends at this place for lunch. This place was recommended to us by a friend. Well, we were not disappointed. The staff were very polite and we had an excellent feeling. The food was just great. We enjoyed every moment and we will visit this place again. Recommended.
