Since the ownership changed I’ve been less and less impressed, which is such a bummer since it is difficult to find good Chinese food. The service is friendly, but the gentleman is difficult to communicate with. I agree with another reviewer about the hint of seafood taste, which is not good when not ordering seafood. Even my fortune cookie was stale.
My dish smelled and tasted strongly of seafood, which would've been great if I ordered seafood. However, I ordered the beef and broccoli with fried rice. So unfortunately the unexpected fish flavor definitely caught me off guard and kind of ruined it for me. Not sure if they used the same pan, spoon, etc.My boyfriend also ordered a non-seafood dish he really liked, so seems to be hit or miss!
Been here twice for lunch with amazing service! Both times the soup was out instantly and the food was at our table within 5 minutes. Everyone was really friendly and their Thai spicy chicken and broccoli shrimp are very good! I'll come back again!
I was a regular patron of the restaurant for over 10 years. It was a favorite of my friends and I to meet. In the past, great food and the owner was always polite and energetic. The current owner has messed um my order 3x, and when I want to chat with her about it she is rude and argumentative. And, the food is not the same. Expect oily food at an increased price. Sorry to say, I will not be back (all 4 times with new ownership the food was bad).
New ownership. Pleasant service. This Chinese restaurant has sustained itself for at least 15 years if I recall correctly. Dishes are what you might expect, with ample food and good service.
Used to be much better food. To go service was very fast, but dishes were over spiced. Mongolian beef was mostly onions and hot peppers, with less than 1/3 beef by volume. Very different from last visit about 6 months ago. Dry braised green beans also heavily loaded with barely cooked chopped onions, black pepper, and red peppers. No plans to return soon.

I bought a $50.00 gift certificate for my neighbor -the end of July. Yesterday 11-3-2021 they tried to use it to have dinner at sunny garden restaurant celebrating their mothers birthday.Sunny Garden Restaurant would not accept the $50.00 gift certificate. The female manager was not nice infact very rude regarding the incident. My neighbor also stated the service was extremely poor! So please keep this in mind when trying to support small businesses in FOLSOM! This will be the LAST gift certificate I ever buy! Try to do a good deed....................PS I wouldn't even give this business one star, but had to in order to post this review. Buyer Beware!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Restaurant would not honor their own gift certificate . Service was slow and almost non-existent. This used to be a much better restaurant.
I used to really like the food here, but now that recently the ownership changed, the food is awful ?! I went this weekend and I couldn't finish my 3 dishes I ordered after the 2nd bite. It was chewy and there was hardly chicken in the dish that was supposed to have it!!
