Poor service, top much wastage of packing material..all items are packed and given. Chola bhatura was 4 pieces broken and chana..Like really... a great disrespect to food and won't come back..it seems a hush hush and if u are ready to eat dosa broken and folded in a box please go ahead...learn from other Indian places in sunnyvale how to run a good restaurant...hands down....
We come here every month and we choose not to go to any other Indian restaurant even though it it pretty far for us. This is the best and my vegetarian family feels at ease because of its all vegetarian menu and kitchen. Their food is delicious and not heavy on oil and grease. They have great and fast customer service. They are very polite. All I can say to them is thank you for your existence.
Mylapore is a south Indian vegetarian restaurant in Folsom. It has lots of south Indian breakfast, snack, lunch and dinner options. We ordered uttapam, kothu paratha and pongal. I really didn’t expect the taste to be so amazing, just fell in love with the food. From the food itself to sides like chutneys, sambar taste was on point, hygienic and awesome. Variety of beverages like chai, coffee, lassi, rose milk are available. For dine-in currently they are giving togo boxes with disposables and sitting area in the restaurant. Even the washrooms are very neat and well-maintained. Also, there are Lots of frozen homely curries buy1 get1 and sweets which are being sold. We got gajar halwa to try. Do not miss this place if you love South Indian taste. Can’t wait to come back and try out other dishes. Thanks for running an amazing restaurant. Keep up the good taste ?
I have been going to Mylapore for a very long time and have experienced the food for a while. The system now is that they put it in a box which doesn’t taste the same and it effects the overall quality hugely. In addition the dosa was way more better quality until they started using this system for mankind everything in boxes.
My wife and I were craving dosa & found this on google so stopped by. Few pros and cons of my visit.Pro- the food was good & tasty.Cons- they were only doing “take out” but you can eat on any open table. The restaurant was full & plenty of staff walking around. But the experience of this method was not good. You have to get your own water from self serve area, you have to clean the table yourself as they were dirty.A lot of plastic goes to waste as they package everything up in takeout manner even if you’re eating onsite. Also the dosa all comes unprepared. All stuffings etc are packaged separately so you’re basically assembling your own dosa which I wasn’t fond of as everything is prepackaged & not “fresh/warm”.I will definitely come back in future to give it another shot and hope to be able to give them a 5 star. This visit was probably a 3.5 but I have a 4 as the food was good.
This is one restaurant in Folsom that we always love going to. When I first moved to Folsom couple of months ago, this was the first restaurant that we visited. One bite of the ghee dosa with the coconut chutney made me feel home. Ever since, we have been visiting Mylapore almost 1-2 times every week. The staff is very friendly and they always greet us with warm smiles. I do understand that the restaurant policies changed because of the pandemic and I felt it’s totally fine considering the wellbeing of both the staff and the customers. Personally, I feel Mylapore dosa or any other food item (even if it’s boxed) is always tastier compared to those at other restaurants in Folsom area any day. The tea and buttermilk are my other favorites here. Thank you Mylapore for the authentic food that reminds me of home. I hope the pandemic comes to an end soon and I'm looking forward to the restaurant serving its full menu.
I used to like this restaurant and used to take my family to this restaurant very frequently. We visited the place on Nov 9th 2021 and were shocked with the service and the way dosas were served in a box. They now serve dosa in to-go boxes. The dosa in boxes aren’t crispy. I hope the management reevaluates its strategy before it is too late. Not the same place it used to be.
So yum!!! I've never had south Indian cuisine, so I had no idea where to start with the menu!! The waiter suggested we try the onion masala Dosa to start and it was amazing! We had another dosa too which was also delicious. I will be back very soon to try other dishes!
Very nice dosa, medhu vedai, and mango lassiStrongly recommended! ??
First time being here, and have to say the service was splendid. The staff is friendly, professional, courteous, and respectful. Food was delicous. You can taste the freshness. It is truly authentic food. No complaints, will definitely come back with the family to eat here again. I ordered a mini tiffin, which included a small portion of everything. Highly recommend it if you want to try the different dishes. Family got the dry fruit dosa, which was good as well. The masala chai and the coffee is a southern authenticity you have to try. Overall experience was great from the staff to the food. Keep up the great service and thank you for a great experience.
