This place is as charming as it is historic. Very cool bar, ambience and the bartenders are quite lovely for their master drink making skills of course. I'm almost a regular.
Fun but crowded on weekends and events.Black Bart's Opium room still an attraction of history and a story that needs to be told.

This place has some bad reviews but for the average drinker, for a nice place to relax and enjoy a decent bite to eat with fairly portioned drinks, it’s a great place to stop to enjoy the night and have time to yourself or friends. Environment is friendly and the bartenders are extremely friendly and conversational with the guests. Very western vibe but it’s a great place to stop by and visit. Rather it’s busy or slow. Awesome place. I love it
Came here a couple months back; will not return. I waited at the end of the bar for about 10 mins without even basic acknowledgement from the female bartender chatting up a group of guys. They all had beers and were seemingly done with business. It was steady, but not busy. The price difference was surprising. $12 for Bombay sapphire and tonic! This is typically $10 or less in most bars. The ceiling was in much need of renovation and looked much better, but I feel that they took much of the character of the old place away for the rest of the renovations. The cowboy feel is not my thing. This used to be my home bar, but the price and new clientele have lead me to find accommodations else where.

Used to be awesome!Now you get a 14oz beer or a tiny drink full of ice.$10 covers on the weekend.Might as well go to Powerhouse.New owner's, maybe the old owner has a steep monthly charge for them.Could be a tough situation for them.Has a midtown retro feel at an old town bar.
