Fast, delicious, huge portions, flavorful, affordable, polite and friendly. I ordered Chile relleno meal for $14. Most dishes are about $10.
Love this place!! We come here literally multiple times a week and haven't gotten tired of it yet. I usually get the same thing, carne asada fries, and they are the best in town. They're simple, thick cut fries, tender steak, cheese, guac and sour cream. Topped with hot sauce and it's heaven! My husband tries many things but when I find something I like, I tend to stick with it. He usually gets the California burrito but we've tried tacos, enchiladas, and quesadillas and they're all good. The red hot sauce is so spicy but so flavorful too, you don't need much to go very far! Actually all of the sauces are very flavorful. I'm recommending the food and service here to anyone that will listen. We came by the first time because we've been looking for San Diego style Mexican food and another review mentioned that this restaurant was the closest they've found. We agree! It's not *exactly* the same but it's local and here at home with us, they're super sweet people, and the portions are huge and always delicious. Like I said, I'll recommend this place to anyone that will listen and we'll keep coming here probably at least once a week. They know my voice/order now, we can't quit lol.
The steak Burrito was memorable, the potatoes in that burrito were intoxicating. 5 stars for that.Shrimp burrito was okay.
The service was great! So was the food, I got the taco salad with ground beef, and got some fresh pico de gallo from the salsa bar. The lettuce was fresh and washed, the guacamole was good. Not overseasoned, authentic. It was one of the best I've had, and I've had more than a few. Only getting 4 stars because it was so empty (not sure if that's a valid reason tbh lol) but yea, eat here. Its great
I grabbed a quick lunch here as I saw good reviews. I have ordered a borito which was very large. The chips with dips are free once you order. The chips are ok but the dips were disappointing as they were quite blend. The borito was nothing special as well. The service was good and there is planty of parking outside. I am not sure I will return.
If “very salty” is your idea of flavor, try the carne asada. I feel a bit sick after eating it.Free salsa bar is nice.

Our family really enjoys the food here. My son lovestheir breakfast burritos. He goes multiple times a week, and enjoys them for dinner, since they make the burritos all day long.We recently used Burritos El Potosino to cater my dad’s 80th birthday celebration, and everyone loved the food!! This was the second time we’ve used their catering, and the food is always a big hit!
Lupita had the best hospitality I have had in a long time and the cook is the best! He made everything taste like home! I will be return again.
We discovered this place while exploring the Lake Folsom State Recreation Area. It is a wonderful family style spot with a huge menu. We tried the carnitas burrito and soft tacos, the servings were very generous, hot and oh so tasty. A salsa bar and chips are included with any food order and our order came out very quickly. We will be back to try other options in the future.
