The sushi here is great tasting, albeit a little plain. Also, they have not updated their hours of operation as of 7/23/22. They close for lunch at 2:45pm & don't reopen until 4:30pm. I think it's because they're so short-staffed, but just wanted ppl to be aware. I did not know until I walked up to their door.
This was a really good sushi restaurant. The quality was top notch for such a low price. The workers are super kind and quick. I got the sweet mango roll and the firefighter. They were amazing. Definitely recommend:)
Our go-to sushi place in Folsom. So many great options. 49er roll has a perfect balance of flavors.
I would love to say this place is amazing but we walked in for mother’s day lunch at 2:30 and where told they already called last call. I’ve never heard of a restaurant closing for two hours in the middle of the day and turning down business it said lunch break starts at 2:45 . There was another couple with their child that they turned down. I have to say I think it’s bad business Etiquette. We will not be returning to see how the food is
Terrible customer service. Served my friend her sushi roll and completely forgot my order. Took no accountability just pretended she picked the wrong soup at the register and that the kitchen was busy making it. My friend ate her whole plate before they even realized the mistake. We asked for the soup to go and they were still working on. We wait a little longer until we just decided to leave without my lunch. The most expensive item we ordered and you forgot? Won't be going back
The menu pictures are misleading. I cannot express how heavily disappointing this food was. If you like a lot of crab mix, I don’t, this place may be for you. I gave the food to my dog who also had to lower his standards. Shogun sushi is a far better option.
I did a to-go order and ordered a galleria roll, spicy cali roll, ika nigiri, and chef's sashimi platter 12 pc (Sashimi B).The fish itself was very fresh and the rice was the right moisture and texture. However, the sashimi B set with 12 pieces of sashimi only had 3 different varieties of fish but I kind of expected more. However, fish was very good. The ika nigiri was cut in a very elegant and fancy pattern! Loved it!The salad with the dressing was also very fresh and the dressing was delicious.Rolls were okay. The only thing I didn't like was that the pickled ginger that I received in the to-go container was spoiled and it ruined the taste/smell of the fish. Perhaps the container of ginger was left out too long (I picked it up about 20 minutes after I called it in, and it took me 15 minutes to get home. Their service was very fast).I called near the end of the night so that may have contributed. I even received a phone call to pick it up as a reminder, so A+ for service.Picking it up was also a breeze as I walked in, someone came to the entryway within 30 seconds, I told them my name and paid. I'm just sad about the ginger.
Just left, they didn't bring us anything to eat with (chopsticks), didn't bring us our edamame and STILL charged us for it. Didn't even bother to correct them, wasn't worththe even longer wait. Terrible. Won't be coming back. Find new servers.
Unfortunately we had a very bad experience with the food and service. The rolls were tiny (smaller than Mikuni) and were missing ingredients. The ramen was inedible due to how salty it was (about 4x usual for shoyu ramen). It tasted like straight soy sauce.Waiter never came by to refill the soda. When we said how salty the ramen was (and showed the basically untouched bowl) he said it was because the seafood makes it more salty. Owner didn't care either. She asked if we wanted a box to go, when we said it was too salty to eat, no offer to remove the item. We paid full price and left. There are few places I don't find a redeeming quality about. This is a rare exception.I do not recommend.
Friendly staff, the roll was good and raw fish was OK. Had the smell of cleaner in the restaurant. OK place.
