Sushi is always fresh and has the right fish to rice ratio. Their tempura sauce is watered down but their miso soup is flavorful.
Been coming to Ohkura for about 15 years. Always a great place for Japanese food. Today I got a tonkatsu donburi, I haven't had a donburi in awhile. Fantastic, quick and yummy!
Anyways excellent food and fast service! One of my favorite places for sushi!

Visiting the area for a couple of months and wanted to try a sushi place. Ohkura is located right outside of the main gate to the AFB. It doesn’t look like much from the road, but once you are inside you will find it is very clean, quiet, casual and the staff is polite and friendly. They sat us right away, brought our drinks, answered any questions about the menu and even made a couple of suggestions. The food is prepared fresh at the sushi bar and it not only looked amazing, it tasted delicious. The prices are typical of what you would expect at a casual sushi restaurant. The menu had plenty of options. We would definitely eat here again.
This is a small restaurant near my work that my wife picked one afternoon and I'm glad she did, it was just what we need for lunch. Older restaurant but clean with great staff.
Do not order the shrimp tempera they literally only included one shrimp. It is way overpriced and the lunch plate was mostly just lettuce and random fried vegetables.
First time here and found out they close at 2 pm, so come early.
